Didda Joe is certainly an artist who is extremely promising. Didda Joe is an Indiana born/Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, producer, musician and up and coming famous rapper. He was born in 1993 and the year represents the journey throughout his career, and it’s about to take off. He is primarily on Soundcloud and has a few music videos out. He put out his first album in 2016 entitled, “1993” and includes the title track “Smokin’ & Stressin.” Another track that stands out is “Primavera” which is a great start to the album. In this track, he talks about his lost love, while including soulful lyrics. He combines his heartache with slowed down skrewed vocals by the bridge of the song to create a great dichotomy of going back and forth with your mind and your heart. He sings, “I said All a nigga really needs, Pussy, Money, Weed, Bitches come and Go, but that money never leaves, All these California women, Let me see y’all drop it down and get it.”
Also, his track “Cinderella” is a great song dedicated to love, which builds up with a perfect beat and a hazy theme that displays his want for her, even though her intentions are confusing him. I can’t tell if it is a diss track or a love song, which makes the hurt that much more significant. He sings, “Say my name, All She ever wanted was the money and the fame.” And he certainly will have more fame if he keeps putting out great tracks like this.

He is a hybrid of Drake, The Weekend and has strong musical ties to R Kelly. He is an R&B artist that makes you want to call up your girlfriend and tell her how much you love her. This carefully crafted “love making music” sends you back to the 90s and early 2000s, while also incorporating elements of contemporary rap. This can be seen on his feature of Wh0IsX’s song, “Morning Sex.” Averaging about 9,000 views a music video, I expect these numbers to go up. Not only does he have beautiful hair, he also has a strong sense of self and confidence about his talent which makes him destined to use his 90s style to take 2018 by storm.
