Drake’s music video for “God’s Plan” is has stayed for the fourth week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the video has about 67 million views. The video was only released a week ago and it has been the topic of conversation for almost every radio host on the scene.

Check out the video here if you haven’t seen it already:

The video shows Drake giving out money to people in need and shows the emotional reaction of the people who are receiving the money. It was a very cute and wholesome video, but other people think differently.

I did like the video but it didn’t quite match the song. Other people have much harsher criticism for this video.

Peter Rosenberg, a radio host on Hot 97 was critical of the authenticity of the “God’s Plan” video. Although Drake gave away one million dollars, he didn’t quite get the point of handing out money to seem like a God among men.

Check out Rosenberg’s full comment here:

Rosenberg also stated,

“Is it a little bit cheap to use those emotions of, ‘Look at this person in need getting something good,’ and transfer those emotions onto yourself? I don’t know the last time I saw a four-minute montage of ‘Look at all the nice things I do.'”

I agree with this statement. Drake is acting like he is the nicest person to ever exist by giving away his millions of dollars. It almost makes you feel sorry for the people receiving the money.

Drake was certainly pissed off by these comments since he was just trying to do an act of kindness for these people so he personally called the radio host.

Drake fired back by saying:

“What’s your problem with me? How did you make this a negative thing?”

Rosenberg commented back,

“I could hear in his voice that this was very clearly the most important thing that he’s ever done. He was clearly very affected by doing something so good for people. That’s ultimately very great for the culture. But, I still would have said the video is not for me.”

I think that Drake was being a little too sensitive by taking what a radio host said to heart. He is just trying to produce quality content for the listeners, and he does bring up a good point. It’s not that deep Drake, we still think you’re a good person.
