Stephen Hawking, one of the most brilliant people to ever grace the earth died today on March 14th, 2018 at the age of 76. The British theoretical physicist struggled with a debilitating disease but still managed to publish popular books probing the mysteries of the universe. He was a cosmetologist, astronomer, mathematician and an author of numerous best selling books. One of his most notable works is “A Brief History of Time” which sold more than 10 million copies. He created and refined theories to conclude space and time would begin with the Big Bang and end in black holes. Without Stephen Hawking, we would not have a complete understanding of the world today.
It was unfortunate he had to die on Pi day (March 14th), but the world has a way of sending us signs. He was truly a God among men and he will forever be remembered.
People took to Twitter to give their condolences:
R.I.P. Stephen Hawking. Among his many profound contributions to this world was this simple sentiment: “It would not be much of a universe if it wasn’t home to the people you love.”

They said Stephen Hawking had 2 years to live in 1963.
They said Stephen Hawking would never speak again in 1985.
He stuck around until 2018 with one of the loudest voices on the planet.
Nothing kept him from his dreams. We honor him by living the same way.

Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with ALS at 21 & given just 2 years to live. Not only did he defy the odds for 52 years, even as his body failed him, his mind soared. I hope his meeting with the Universe was beyond even his wildest imagining. 💜

Stephen Hawking was born January 8, 1942, on the 300th anniversary of Galileo's death. He died today, March 14th, on the anniversary of Einstein's birth. Time is circular – no beginning, no end.
