Ye Says He’s Tried To Reach Former 49ers Quarterback
Kanye West wants Colin Kaepernick at the White House.
Kanye West revealed in a interview on Monday that he has tried to reach out to Colin Kaepernick about visiting the White House.
“I been calling Colin (Kaepernick) this morning … reaching him so I can bring Colin to the White House and we can remove (President Trump’s) ‘sons of bitches’ statement and we can be on the same page,” West told TMZ.
West said that his intended goal behind bringing Colin Kaepernick to the White House is to bring ‘love’ between Kaepernick and President Donald Trump.
Kaepernick, who spent six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, is mostly known for beginning to kneel during the national anthem as a way to bring awareness to racial injustices and police brutality towards people of color.
The movement by Kaepernick became huge in 2017 after Kaepernick, unsigned by an NFL team, had his movement carried on by number of players who began kneeling and sitting in solidarity before the anthem.
Last year President Donald Trump referred to Colin Kaepernick and players kneeling during the national anthem as a ‘son of a bitch’ during a speech in Alabama last September.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out! He’s fired. He’s fired!'”
Colin Kaepernick, a free agent NFL quarterback, has not been signed by an NFL team since becoming a free agent in March 2017.
He is currently in a case against NFL owners claiming collusion.

This is the slippery slope we’ve gone down since Kim Kardashian’s White House trip. Now we’ve got her husband setting up meetings for Trump? Why should Kanye have any say as to who comes to the White House?
Kanye West has morphed into something that’s harsh to describe but what I will say is there’s nothing really unexpected by Kanye’s actions anymore. He is in the nicest way ‘different’ in his approach to many things.
