Vince Gilligan, the creator of “Breaking Bad” announced that he’s planning a sequel to the AMC smash hit, set after the finale, which aired in 2013. Rumor has it, it will follow an escaped man (presumably Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul) as he tries to regain his freedom.

Bryan Cranston said he has yet to see a script for a “Breaking Bad” sequel, but he’s interested, despite his character dying in the show’s finale (sorry for spoiling the 2013 finale, but if you haven’t seen it by now, that’s on you).
We already have a “Breaking Bad” prequel with “Better Call Saul” which I hear is really good, but for some reason, I haven’t watched it yet. I, like the vast majority of America, loved “Breaking Bad” and think Vince Gilligan is one of the best showrunners in TV history. I have faith that if he has an idea, it’s got to be a good one.
Not only is there no release date, but there’s also no set production schedule out, so all bets are off as to when this “Breaking Bad” movie will be released. Additionally, it’s unclear if it will be a theatrical film, or directly released to AMC, the network where “Breaking Bad” aired.
