Antonio Brown started a social media war with former Pittsburgh teammate, and fellow wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. The beef started yesterday and has spilled over into today, so let’s take a stroll down the old Twitter thread to see where the online spice began.
Brown kicks things off with a seemingly normal piece of advice. Keeping your emotions off of social media is a good thing to adhere to; it keeps people out of trouble. Good job AB, you’re killing the Twitter game!
Oh, boy. Things are starting to get a little sour here and its only been roughly 45 minutes between tweets, but surely Brown will keep his emotions offline. Right?
Folks, I have some bad news: Antonio Brown is extremely mad online. Completely disregarding his own Twitter advice from an hour and half prior, Mr. Big Chest himself is taking shots at his former teammate. Not a great look for someone who claims to not be mad. Antonio Brown comes across as a lunatic here, but let’s see how JuJu responds, maybe he’ll take the bait and try and stir the pot even more.
Completely rational response from Juju here. Textbook stuff. A little petty response with the emotions tweet, but then some appropriate confusion over the whole situation. He doesn’t sharpen his pitchfork to go after AB, so certainly Brown will realize he was wrong and try to settle things. The ever so, level headed Brown has to feel a little bad for throwing JuJu under the bus.
I honestly have no idea if the Instagram post is supposed to be a diss. It honestly makes zero sense. It makes such little sense that it may also be one of the best chirps of all time, like a double negative type deal. He’s hating on JuJu for reaching out to him while he was still at USC looking for advice from a pro. The DM JuJu sent was lovely, so why is Brown using it to make roast the man. Antonio Brown’s social media use is warping my mind and creating significant brain damage. Tough scene for AB all around here, and something tells me he isn’t done talking quite yet.
