Legendary rapper, Biggie Smalls has gotten a Brooklyn street renamed in his honor.
The corner of Fulton Street and St. James Place in Clinton Hill became “Christopher ‘Notorious B.I.G.’ Wallace Way” on Monday. Uncoincidentally, this street is in the same neighborhood that Biggie grew up in, so many years ago.
The street is near a few murals dedicated to Biggie, including the one on Quincy Street and Bedford Avenue, “King of New York”.
According to Stereogum, the renaming was mostly thanks to Brooklyn resident LeRoy McCarthy, who also contributed to having Biggie’s birthday, May 21st, renamed as Notorious B.I.G. Day in Brooklyn in 2016.
