SZA has announced that she’s done doing videos, interviews, and photoshoots. She took to Twitter yesterday to express her change of heart, but has yet to give an explanation as to why. She tweeted: “Not doing any videos interviews or photos for the rest of my life lol don’t ask.”
The tweet was posted hours after Rolling Stone unveiled the cover for its upcoming second annual Women Shaping the Future issue. The timing between the tweet and the unveiling has fans suspecting there maybe a correlation between the two. The cover also features Megan Thee Stallion and Normani. Normani and Megan have shared the issues on their social medias, but SZA has yet to do so.
The TDE singer quickly assured everyone that her issues had nothing to do with Normani or Megan. In fact, she tweeted about her love and respect for the two women.
Her next tweet leads us to believe that the singer is dealing with her own personal demons, as she speaks out about mental health and her on-going battle with anxiety. She says her struggles have less to do with outside sources than they do with her own personal thoughts.
The Rolling Stone cover was shot by photographer Campbell Addy, and will be available March 3.
SZA is expected to drop her sophomore album, the follow-up to 2017’s CTRL, sometime later this year.
