The World Tour was created in order to “build a new model of music tour, inspiring global music fans to play their part in accelerating the transition to a climate friendly, sustainable future,” according to a news release.

Back in June 2019, Australia’s fire season began with droughts affecting 95% of the state, followed by dry and warm winds. This combination would lead to an increase in bushfires (both through human error and natural). Despite being common during that time of year, it is the increase of climate change that has had a drastic impact on the situation with the fires becoming even more severe, with a wider reach. With a reported, more than 20% of Australia’s forest burned during the summer season. The cost of the damages is expected to surpass $4.4 billion.
