[ENTERTAINMENT] VIC MENSA DISSES X AT BET AWARDS

[ENTERTAINMENT] VIC MENSA DISSES X AT BET AWARDS

The BET awards were being filmed in Miami this weekend with little fanfare. With some information leaking from the event it seems Vic Mensa dropped a freestyle diss that was directed to the late XXXTentaction. To make matters worse it seems X mom Cleo was in attendance while mensa was rapping. All of this is coming from South Florida influencer Dj Scheme twitter with one tweet telling Vic mensa to “Suck his dick” followed by several others.

Apparently the “diss” was during the BET freestyle which Vic was asked to participate in. Vic Mensa unknown beef with X has been brewing for a while, after info came out that back in June Jayz allegedly intervened in mensa putting out a diss record toward X on his album “The Autobiography” Vic has no chill if that’s true.  With no other info released as of yet we will have to wait until the BET awards to hear the diss if they air it.

{MUSIC] DRIP HARDER REVIEW

{MUSIC] DRIP HARDER REVIEW

The drip is strong with this duo. The new generation of rappers coming out of Atl is another example of why they have been running the game this long. Lil Baby and Gunna alone are some heat but together, there’ll probably the best rap  duo out and their #1 album proves the public agrees. Laced with 13 tracks and features from Lil Durk, Nav, Young Thug, and Drake, this album has greatness written all over it especially with Turbo executive producing it and Tay Keith leaving his mark also. The Atl pioneers really put on for their city with this one.

This album starts off exactly how you expect with Gunna and Baby flexing their drip with Nav and Lil Durk on ” Off White Vlone”. This soft beat let everybody flow and flex easily with Gunna starting it off ” You can tell that’s Chanel by the lace, You can  tell its bale by the weight” then Durk follows that up with “I spend big bags on Amiris, none of my hoes wear Uggs” so thanks Durk now all of us guys gotta step our game up for christmas. With Baby and Nav matching their vibes respectively” Went to magic last week, we prolly fucked up 40 bands/ Bitch im the shit hoe, fuck your man” Nav follows that up ” Spent six hundred eatin’ lunch/ Got tired of Honey Buns” evidently the bag their talking I can’t fathom yet.

Gunna and Baby flow well between most tracks but there are a few solo tracks that lets them shine. Lil Baby and Quay are definitely do for a joint project soon. With their track “Deep End” Baby shows why he really runs the game. The flow on this is amazing to me because sometimes he’s not always on beat. He starts this off by letting us know it’s get it how you can ” If its pressure, let me know/ So we can pull up with them Glocks/ If I never sell a record, I’m gon’ make it on the block” Lets hope it never comes to that Lil Baby. Baby also talks riding for his homies and trying to make everybody a boss “I put the food on the table, who’s hungry? I try to feed you/ Treat all my niggas like bosses” its rare nowadays for people to put others on and make sure there homies are straight. Mr. Drip god Gunna lets us know on his solo track ” Style Stealer” he knows people are watching and trying to steal his drip”They tryna steal your style dawg/ I’m a big dripper, you a sound stealer” Why can’t people just get their own wave without copying people

Gunna and Lil Baby lets us know on ” I Am” nothing was easy for them coming up in the game. Lil Baby starts off ” I anit never had shit, I gotta act up/ If I ever go broke, we maskin’ up” while also rapping the hook on the track ” Life anit sweet, anit no lay-ups/ I stay down, and I came up”, with Gunna telling us he got his brothers back and not giving this life up” My bro took a loss and I picked him up/ we stay together, they anit rich as us” nothing is going to stop them from reaching the top and their old life will always be the fill to the fire.

Every album no matter who it’s from has that one emotional track. Lil Baby takes the credit for putting everybody in their feelings toward the end of the album “Close Friends” (Tear drop emoji) I hope this about Jayda Amour. Lil Baby raps ” We started off as close friends/ Somehow,  you turned into my girlfriend” perfect start to any relationship. He continued with ” I think I loved you’ fore I knew you/ Play my cards right, I wont lose you” But as most people know he cheated. But Baby knows how to write apology ” I’m sorry for what I did to you/I know I shouldnt have never left, but everything I did for us” its kinda weak but I guess she accepted it because she’s having his baby.

The album closes with Drake, Baby, Gunna, and Tay Keith snapping on ” Never Recover” which is the perfect track to end it. Drake does what Drake does talking his shit and throwing subs ” If I don’t fuck with him, then I can’t rap with him/ I wanna be there when somebody catches him. You told a story like shorty was feelin’ you/ She told a story like she split the bill with you” shessh whoever Drake is trying to expose, I feel bad because 6God on your ass. Gunna talks his drip talk as usually while letting us know you can’t compete ” Anit no comparin’ cause we number one/ Dont got what I got’ cause I shop in Milan/ Cuban link look like a box of crayons” I have to see this mans closet one day. Lil Baby ends it off like he should “Runnin’ this shit, only been out two summer/ seem like everything I get on the number one” this cockiness is exactly why everybody love all three of these rappers together.

QC and YSL record labels did exactly what they were suppose to do and did it well by capitalizing on Baby and Gunna hype train know anything they drop will go #1. This album is a vibe from start to finish, right now Lil Baby and Gunna can’t do no wrong in the public eye.  This definitely the best joint album of the past year and half but it should be up there for AOTY  without question. Atl should be very proud of them as they put on for their city. Gunna and Baby are going to run the game for the next 10 years.

[MUSIC] JAEE BRYANT PAYS HOMAGE BUT QUESTIONS THE INDUSTRY ON “EVIL LURKS”

[MUSIC] JAEE BRYANT PAYS HOMAGE BUT QUESTIONS THE INDUSTRY ON “EVIL LURKS”

South Carolina got something to say about this rap game and Jae Bryant is leading the charge. On his latest album” Evil Lurks” Jaee Bryant pays homage to his many idols but he also questions many of their mindsets. The album matches exact vibe you expect, sinister undertone on this album will have you wondering what happened in his past.

This album is rap with a slap of soul too it which you can hear in the beats and his rhymes. On the first track which is the title track Jae Bryant starts off by paying homage to stars such as Kendrick Lamar, Bigge, 2Pac, and Boosie. He pays respect to Kendrick by saying” Good Kid, m.A.Ad city is the story to my life, raised up on the north side I gotta make it home tonight” while also letting us know he grew from the underground of hip-hop.

On his standout track “Reasonable Doubt” Jae Bryant raps about some of his personal issues ” Traveling this country many years still slept on, can’t stand it when your own kin turn bitter. Black fear is all I see in the sky, but I gotta keep it moving because I see the prize” This lets us know that Jae not only doubts the people around him but even strangers. He can’t pay much attention to them because the prize is all he’s worried about.

On the following track “$20” Jae talks about his past of being broke and growing up in a single parent home” I’m broke as hell, but im a king mom named me Jamelle, like a young nigga with no father his son turned into a prince” its sad that most of us can relate to this line so much. Jae also takes shots at the state of rap during his album ” Real lyrical rap coming back for you pop niggas, fuck around and get pop niggas” seems like he isn’t to keen on mumble and pop artist.

In all Jae makes things short in sweet on this album especially on the last track which is a letter to Kanye. He starts by sampling  Kanye rant about him taking pills. Then Jae says what we all be thinking ” From College Dropout to the Late Registration, You’ve been my hero for decades im devastated, You disappoint me when you ran for Trump. You got the world looking at you like we been fucked, ” he says in a true rhythmic catharsis. It shows even thou we hold our idols to a higher standard there still human but we all can agree Kanye let us all down.

Overall “Evil Lurks” gives you that soul and jazz vibe but the beats and the way he rap’s it doesn’t sound overly outdated. This is good for Jae because he changed his sound on this album but he still got his message across. Coming from the underground Jae is starting to make a lot of noise especially  with his pervious album “Bloo” getting a rare rave review from media outlet Mass Appeal. You can stream this project and his others on all streaming services, and watch out for Jae I think he might have something to say.

{ENTERTAINMENT} KODACK WANTS BEEF WITH EVERYBODY

Since his release from prison Kodak has been…… While Kodak which means he puts out good music while immersing himself in some bullshit. Kodak has been on a little rant lately on social media going at not only A Boogie and Don Q but now he starting with Dj Akademiks  and 6ix9ine. After his drunk rant on IG live saying he wants to fight pray boogie and Don Q ” I’m finna punch you fuck niggas up” while he walking out the hotel room. We all can see he’s drunk but Don Q made a response video to that telling Kodak to “Suck his dick” jokingly but Kodak didn’t find it funny. Kodak Exposes their message with Don Q  telling him it was a joke and a ” clout move” but Kodak not trying to hear that.

It then proceeds with Kodak going back on IG live today talking about how he’s the best street rapper out, because he real everybody around him straight” Everybody scared to go to jail, ill go back tmm it anit nothing. Everybody around me got money there’s no problems” but it didn’t stop there. He then goes on how everybody in the industry be lying especially Akademiks , and nobody better than him especially 6ix9ine. A troll begets a troll as this causes 69 to tell him ” SUCK MY DICK” why can’t we just get along.

I hope this ends well for everybody as Kodak just got out of jail because if his video’s and 69 just got his house raided by police( In which they found a  gun) but both these guys are on thin ice with the law. Its funny now but I hope it don’t escalate to anything serious. But check out the new video for Kodak track “If I’m Lying, Then I’m Flying” down below.
