Offset is the best Migo and he’s proven that on this album. This album was delayed a few times but QC and Offset made it worth the wait. Many were expecting a turn-up club album, but Offset surprised everybody with a personal POV of his past year.
Offset comes through with a 16 track album laced with features from Big Rube, J.Cole, Gunna, CeeLo Green, Travis Scott,21 Savage, Quavo, and of course his wife Cardi B. The album starts with Big Rube talking which give you those ATL voiceover memories, which leads into Offset apologizing to his kids about missing time in their lives. The following track “How Did I Get Here(feat.Jcole)” has Offset reminiscing about how far he’s come and everybody doubting him, “They didn’t think I was a star/ Then I fucked around and beat the odds.” Everybody knows Offset legal troubles early in his career, it is amazing to see how much he has changed since then.
Offset keeps the same vibe on tracks “Came a Long Way” and “North Star(Feat. Ceelo Green), which not only shows CeeLo vocal mastery talent but Offset surprises you too ” My dawg caught a lick/ Mama had a nigga scared” Offset might rival Quavo soon for top melody artist.
Offset also address his cheating scandal and apologizes to his wife Cardi B on “Don’t Lose Me” with lines “Number one, it’s a loyalty code (Number one) Temptation, had the devil in my soul (Temptation) I wanna be with you when we old (When we old)” which also features his Instagram apologize. The track must have done its job because she appears on the album to denounce the clout chaser on “Clout” and Cardi knows some of yall using her name for sells and attention “They using my name for clickbait/ Bitches even wanna start fake beef, to sell they weave and little mixtape/ I know that means traffic low.” This is definitely a shot at many people but we’re all going to assume its about one person.
Offset does switch vibes too give you those turn up tracks on “Wild Wild West”(Feat. Gunna), “Lick”, and “Legacy” (Feat. Travis Scott and 21 Savage) nothing top charting but they get the job done.
In all this is a solid album for Offset definitely better than Quavo and Takeoff solo projects. The album wasn’t made to have club bangers and spring anthems but to reveal another side to Offset dynamic. It was a personal account of everything that has happened in his life up until now, and once people realize that they will appreciate this album a lot more.
Our unproblematic social beautiful butterfly gives us all kinds of vibes on new EP “While We Wait,” to hold fans over until her album comes out. But honestly, she could have thrown three more tracks on the project and called it an album with no complaints from anybody. Seriously that’s how good it is, from the features to her beautiful, soulful voice which glides on most of these tracks Kehlani is amazing.
On her new EP which has 9 songs with features coming from Musiq Soulchild, DOM KENNEDY, Ty Dolla Sign, and 6lack. Kehlani is the epitome of what loving, unproblematic, carefree people look like and it showed during her whole pregnancy. Kehlani gives girls A whole project for any situation or mood their in, side piece catching feelings play him or her “Too Deep,” and you skating out that situation calmly. Ole boy still texting you asking about your new guy and worrying about your situation play Nunya(feat. Dom KENNEDY), on your Instagram and Snapchat starring none other than your new boy and watch his heart crumble.
Ladies if he doesn’t want you when you have your meek mill braids in or don’t have your nails done, he doesn’t deserve you. If he cant handles you at your worst then he isn’t allowed to breath the same air as you when you’re glowing. That’s how Kehlani wants you to feel on her “Morning Glory” track which gets impressive when she switches her flow up like she was an original member of TLC.
Things getting distant during your relationship which is common RPG(feat.6lack) is the perfect song to get both perspectives. This song is a slow jam that is perfect for those nonverbal imitate moments that can explain everything without saying a word. 6lack comes through with the males perspective of things which helps even the most sacred man more understandable without speaking.
Ladies the moment you try and understand a guy and love him the way he needs it, is the moment you become everything too him. Kehlani is preaching to y’all on “Love Language” because how are you going to love somebody you can’t understand?
Kehlani comes through with a solid EP that gets the job done, to hold fans over while we wait. The features fit and its cohesive with her being over shine. The fact that she did this all the while being pregnant is amazing and shows how much of a boss she is. This project is so good I already planned to clean my house too it tomorrow and everybody knows that the best complaint your music can get. You Can stream the project on all major platforms.

It’s a welcoming sight too see August Alsina back in good health and doing interviews again. Its been about 4 years since his last project, but recently he jumped back on the scene with his latest EP “Forever and a Day,” which can be streamed on all platforms.
August hasn’t really been one for the interviews even early on in his career, but he became less noticeable the more ill he became. He had to deal with many ailments such as vision problems, kidney problems, and immune system problems. Many of these things played a role for his disappearance, but the major reason why he went ghost on us was that he and his label Def Jam were having problems with releasing his music. August last single on Def Jam was in 2017 “Don’t Matter” which lead to speculations that a new album was coming. But soon after August took to social media to vent about his frustration with his label.
But two years have passed and now August is releasing music independently, and he’s doing a pretty good job. In the interview, August opens up about recently losing his sister to cancer and having to father his three nieces now. While also figuring out a way to rise back to dominance in the music industry. You can check out the video down below to hear him have an emotional conservation about everything going on in his life.
Pete from QC is changing gears and reaching outside the norm to add new talent to his already impressive roster of artists. Qc adds Youtube singer Layton Greene too lead the R&B side the label was lacking. Layton Greene is a 20-year-old female from St.Louis Missouri that blew up from her cover of Kodak Black “Roll in Peace,” track that received over 26 million views on Youtube back in December of 2017.
She only released a hand full of tracks after that with her most recent track “Myself” gaining over 9 million views on Youtube. She also did a cover of Derez De’Shon “Fed Up” that she called “Fed Up Remix” which gained 18 million views.
Not much else is known about her, but with QC now backing her it’s only a matter of time before the whole world knows her story. Pete is really putting QC in the conversation for the best record label and 2019 might be solidify it.
