Elyjah OE is a rising music star from lower east side Manhattan with a style that’s hard to pin down. After listening to his latest project OE Different I fell in love with the hard hip hop drums and trap edm melodies and bass in it’s entire production. Elyjah’s delivery on this project ranges from modern Florida-styled rapping on his record “Ziplock” to a bit more of an RnB-ish singing/crooning on songs “L.A.Noire” and “Legacy”.
With support from his Indie Label OE Entertainment and a very active fanbase, Elyjah has garnered over 40,000 streams from OE Different within less than 2 months after its release date!
Recently I got the chance to ask Elyjah about his start in the music industry and the honest inspiration behind his latest hit single “Chatter”.
When asked about his inspiration to start music, the young star replied “I was managing and shooting videos at first, and kept telling myself I couldn’t make music. Until one day, me and my boy got bored one night and said let’s go to the Stu. We ended up liking how it sounded and dropped our first track “Trappin” featuring Davo”.
Personally, there’s nothing more interesting than hearing stories of how artists become artists and seeing their progression. It was dope hearing Elyjah’s old releases all the way to his newest one “Chatter”. Don’t get me wrong, his first release “Trappin” was a gem with its catchy melody and tone as he painted his come up in the city through his own eyes… BUT this new joint “Chatter” he got he speaks on “climbing the ladder” in the music industry and life, and how it affects people around you.
When asked about what inspired Chatter” Elyjah spoke about how when he made the song he had just got involved in the industry and started making new contacts, some which became close to him and others that didn’t work out so much in the long run.
In Elyjah’s own words he shared, “Basically a lot of people talk too much and don’t know when is the right time to talk about certain things, so that’s why it’s called Chatter… ‘cause they was chatting”. “Chatter” is hands down one of my favorites, it’s catchy & well delivered with melodies and real life content that’s relatable!!
Keep checking up on ElyjahOE he’s got something big coming next! With a strong team like his and creative vision like no other there is nothing standing in this artist’s way! Check out his Instagram ( @Elyjah_oe ) and YouTube ( OE Visions ) for his latest content and make sure to let us know your thoughts on it. Elyjah told us there will be a lot more visuals and collab tapes coming, as well as more music & projects from the new artists of OE Entertainment. You can check out Elyjah and more members of OE Entertainment’ on all streaming platforms under “OE”.
“She must of thought I was Romeo, but she don’t know me tho. Can’t put a lock my dick, she wanna fuck up a check”
Jdemon$ is a rising dark melodic rap artist from Cranford, NJ making waves in 2020. With two distinct styles consisting of both mosh pit XXXTenacion / Ski Mask the Slump God headbanger vibes and a softer dark trap acoustic vibe, Jdemon$ music has a variety of colors. Whether looking at his Instagram or cover art you’ll peep him staying true to himself, with his slightly dark but very natural look he has about him.
Jdemon$ biggest release to date titled “Romeo” falls into a trap-like acoustic feel with minimal Lofi melody and a bouncy 808/drum production from established YouTube producer Godzay Kantana. Demon$ illustrates the concept of starting a new relationship and having false expectations of romance delivered in rhythmic rap verses and somber yet infectious melodic chorus. Check out the record below which was recorded/mixed by Sloppy Vinyl’s own Jack Arnold. Take notice of the record‘s clean and full modern sound.
When asked where the song’s inspiration came from Jdemon$ quoted, “It’s about people having a misunderstood image of who someone is based off what they see at first. For instance, someone who is famous could appear attractive or dope when in reality they’re a shitty person. But, the people who’ve seen the darker side of reality understand love more, but don’t get the chance. For me it’s specifically seeing how Love was originally a distant and hurtful thing, but I’m learning it can be a helpful and positive thing in my life.”
With witty relatable lyrics, catchy melodies and a unique sound/approach to music… this man is a big time artist to watch this year. Currently you can find Jdemon$ on Instagram known as @nomed.s and stream all of his records at the link in his bio.
Somewhere between R&B and soul, the singer-songwriter Dashana recently released her new single, “Life”. In the song she expresses herself and how she’s been feeling lately. She’s tired of being surrounded by the BS and stress, aren’t you?
We can’t always control what goes on around us and that’s okay! In this song the Brooklyn queen goes on a journey to finding her inner harmony and peace. She stops questioning herself why and takes a couple of hits and sips to clear her mind. Shout out to the producer UrBan Nerd Beats, HeyIndo on the engineering, Jack Arnold on the A&R side of things & OnlySuave on the cover art. This record is such a mellow vibe! Chill out, roll a fat Backwood to this and keep an eye out for Dashana and her upcoming releases. Make sure to follow her Instagram @Epicvibeee and ours @Sloppyvinyl for more updates.
