Did you see the Academy Awards last night? For the first time in history, the Best Original Screenplay was won by the first African-American Jordan Peele. He took home his first Oscar for Get Out against previous nominees John Singleton, Spike Lee, and Suzanne de Passe.
His acceptance speech was emotional to me. He told the audience that he had trouble finishing the movie’s script since he didn’t expect it to get made. He said that the writing for this movie took a while. Having written it about 20 times, who would’ve known he’d take home his first Oscar because of it. History was made last night at the 90th Academy Awards show, and even though last months over.. black history is still being made! Be sure to check out Get Out if you haven’t already. Did you see that movie? It is mind blowing.

Lil Kim has been grinding towards her fifth studio album lately and now she’s got a new single out titled “Spicy”. Her and Fabolous teamed up and did it for Brooklyn on this one! To my surprise both veterans referenced some big names on his track and shared some thoughts on Blac Chyna’s weak sex tape leak. Listen “Spicy” below via Spotify and tell me what you think.
Florida native XXXTentacion has been sharing snippets of his new music on Instagram a lot lately and last night he released two new songs from his upcoming album onto all streaming platforms. Personally, I favor the more turnt-up rebellious type of X, but his fans will love these new slow songs, “Sad” and “changes“. Stream X’s new music below via Spotify, and stay tuned for the release date of his next studio album.
