Today is not a good day to be Jason Terry. Six years ago, at the peak of the Miami Heat big three, LeBron James delivered one of the most devastating poster dunks in league history at the expense of Jason Terry.
The reason this thing will be so memorable is because of the alley oop factor. Poor, poor Jason Terry is a dog chasing after his tail as the ball moves all over the place before LeBron almost takes his life with a dunk. When they play the highlight video package at the end of LeBron’s historic career, this thing will without a doubt be one of the main clips.
Let this be a warning to all, that sometimes it’s best to make a business decision on the basketball court. You don’t always need to be the hero on the defensive end, especially when human freight train LeBron James is coming down the lane. RIP Jason Terry, you may not be dead, but on this day six years ago, you were as close as ever to meeting your maker.

Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” is set to be released this July and today we got our first look at the official poster. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio, who previously collaborated with Tarantino in “Django Unchained,” and Brad Pitt, who last worked with Tarantino a decade ago in “Inglorious Bastards.”
The premise of the film surrounds Hollywood in 1969, with DiCaprio playing a former TV star and Pitt playing his longtime stunt double, as the two try to work their way into the film industry. The film will also take place around the time of the Manson family murders, with Margot Robbie presuming the role of Sharon Tate.
Aside from the stars DiCaprio and Pitt, the film is loaded with other top tier actors including Al Pacino, Damian Lewis, Kurt Russell, Lena Dunham, Bruce Dern, Rumer Willis, Tim Roth, and the late Luke Perry. The official cast list hasn’t been 100 percent confirmed yet, but Tarantino has said that some of the actors will be portraying real life historical figures.
The film will be released July 26. Are you excited for this? Leave a comment below and follow us on Twitter and IG @SloppyVinyl.
A new Travis Scott track leaked onto Soundcloud late last night titled “Love It Mane.” Scott has had a series of songs leak onto the online streaming platform before, so this isn’t any indication that a new project is in the works.
The track itself is an embodiment of what makes Travis Scott so damn good. He’s never going to blow you away with his lyrics, but his vocals and production are what makes the song bump. It sounds a little like a blend of “Graduation” and “808’s and Heartbreaks” era Kanye, a layered production throughout the song, some autotune on vocals, and a nice, catchy refrain. This song could easily be a top 100 hit if Scott puts it into a full length project, hell, I would even take a mixtape of leftover tracks from him at this point. Really liked this one a lot. Let’s be hopeful that more tracks are on the way.
Travis is still performing on his “Wish You You Were Here” tour and has dates that run all the way through early April, with some festival dates that go into the summer.

Last night at his Tallahassee show, JID payed tribute to late rapper Mac Miller. JID and Miller were slated to go on tour this past fall before the untimely and tragic death of the Pittsburgh rapper. The death of Mac Miller sent shockwaves throughout the music community and his fans, leaving everyone to remember and reminisce on his artistry and the impact he left on the world as a person.
A fan at the show shot the video of JID playing “Come Back To Earth,” a song off of Miller’s final album “Swimming.” Fans can be heard singing along to the song while JID stood on stage, quietly singing along, looking as if he were still mourning his friend’s passing.
After each of his shows, JID has been playing Miller’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert, a show put on by artists at the NPR offices, meant to create a more intimate, relaxed show. It’s a classy move by the Atlanta rapper and something that his fans clearly appreciate. Be sure to watch the Tiny Desk Concert, it’s worth your attention and time.

This weekend looks pretty light on the new album front, but there are new singles being dropped left and right by multiple different artists. Anderson .Paak is pumping out new music and has a single being dropped tonight titled “King James” off of his new album “Ventura.”
The new single from the Cali hip-hop star leaked early and was posted to YouTube earlier today. The lyrics from the song covers some topical subject matter, like Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem, the infamous border wall being built, and obviously LeBron James, highlighting his positive influence amongst the public, specifically the youth.
The leak is not a complete version of the track, it lacks some bits at the beginning and end, but it sounds like a vintage .Paak song. It comes with a funky baseline and vibrant, warm sounding horns, that seem to always place you in California.
Along with the announcement of the new single, .Paak announced via Twitter the album artwork, tracklist, and list of features on the record.
