A new ScHoolboy Q track was released briefly on Spotify before being pulled titled “CHopstix.” ScHoolboy played a small bit of the track during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon a few weeks ago, but not the whole song. The single from ScHoolboy’s new album also features Travis Scott, who handles the chorus on this one.
This release is the second single for the LA rapper’s album rollout and the follow up to “Numb Numb Juice.” This one is way more laid back than the aforementioned track, with a little spacier sounding production. It’s a smooth track all the way through, I just wish ScHoolboy let Travis do something more than just the hook.
The track release is a bit of surprise considering ScHoolboy had said earlier in the week, he didn’t want to release new music as he mourns the loss of fellow rapper and friend Nipsey Hussle. The track must have been a scheduled release on Spotify and wasn’t pulled down in time. It’s no longer available on Spotify, but it is on the YouTube link above.

Anderon .Paak dropped a new video for his single “Make It Better” off his upcoming album Ventura. .Paak has kept himself busy lately, with this new project slated just five months after his previous release. This new track is a bit of a throwback to Malibu era .Paak; way more rhythmic and soulful than some stuff that’s been on previous records.
.Paak is at his best when he’s making songs that are light on the ears, not that he isn’t capable of making a good rap song, it’s just a more refreshing vibe to have tracks like this one. This new single sounds like it could easily be a Bruno Mars song, but .Paak is able to put his own spin onto it.
.Paak is slated to play Coachella in the next few weeks, as well as more tour dates that run through the end of June. His album Ventura is set to be released on April 12.

Beyoncé has agreed to partner with Adidas, joining the wave of artists signing with athletic apparel companies. The deal will enlist the pop star to collaborate on a line of shoes, as well as relaunching her own Ivy Park comfort wear line exclusively with Adidas.
The deal is being described as “multi-layered” and Beyoncé calls it “the partnership of a lifetime for me.” This deal places Beyoncé firmly at the top of the list as one of the most influential artists, and arguably solidifies her spot as the most important female voices in culture.
There isn’t any official word as to when to expect a line of signature shoes or a timetable for when Ivy Park is re-launched. Adidas is set to use her voice and platform to create an outreach to promote equality for women in sports and all other major fields of work.
Landing Beyoncé is enormous for Adidas. Adding her alongside their immensely successful Kanye West collaboration allows the company to go toe to toe with all competitors including, and especially, Nike.

Lil Nas X is making a play to get his viral hit “Old Town Road” back on the country Billboard charts by enlisting the help of country music icon Billy Ray Cyrus. Rolling Stone reported that the pair are working on a remixed version of the country trap hit, in an attempt to legitimize the song as a country record.
The song was removed from the country charts last week, amongst claims that the song did not contain enough country music elements. The controversy sparked some outrage over social media, as fans were adamant that the song was, in fact, a country song.
Billy Ray Cyrus stepped out in support of the Atlanta rapper with an Instagram post, deeming the song credible as a country track. Miley Cyrus sounded off in the comments, displaying her own excitement for the remix. The new song is set to be released sometime later today.

According to CBS Los Angeles, the main suspect in the death of Nipsey Hussle has been captured. The man is 29-year old Eric Holder, who was the primary person of interest after rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot six times on Sunday.
Nipsey was just 33 years old when he was fatally shot, and someone who has received immense praise from both fans and his fellow artists. The tragic event sparked social media to share its collective grief with one another, keeping Nipsey and his family in their thoughts and prayers.
Nipsey had recently been working with the LAPD to help educate and solve ways to stop gang violence. Hussle was also working to give back to the community, especially the under privileged youth, trying to bridge the inner-city closer to Silicon Valley.
Nipsey was a great rapper and a better person, and hopefully justice will be served as a result of this horrible event in history. Prayers up to his family, friends, and fans.
