A few months ago, YouTube quietly added stories as a feature to their video streaming platform. Popular users now have the ability to record and post their own short videos and have them appear in story format, similar to other social media outlets. This feature isn’t available to everyone who has a channel, only those with a substantial audience.
Stories initially became popularized via Snapchat, allowing users to log a narrative using pictures and videos that would last only for a 24 hour period. Since then, both Facebook and Instagram have adopted the same format, launching the feature to mainstream appeal.
The tutorial above outlines how to use the function on the mobile app for users to post on their own personal channels. The idea behind adding stories to YouTube is to allow their creators to reach out to their fans in a fast, easy, accessible way. Stories have become a staple of social media, and have become necessary to these platforms to engage its users.

After a long legal battle between Lil Uzi and his old record label Generation Now, it appears that Jay-Z and Roc Nation have helped settle the problem. A new track titled ‘Free Uzi’ has popped up on both Tidal and Soundcloud, marking the triumphant return for the Philadelphia rapper.
Uzi has been sitting on his new album ‘Eternal Atake’ and now that he is officially signed with Roc Nation, this thing should be right on the horizon. Uzi has been outward in his frustrations with his old label, constantly posting on his IG story taking shots at DJ Drama and others.
Uzi’s situation is very similar to the conflict Lil Wayne had, back when he had disputes with Birdman and Cash Money over the release of The Carter V. Jay-Z also helped settle that dispute as well, proving to be a guardian angel to the music community.
Anyway, Uzi is back and his first track is out. Give it a listen and let us know what you think. Leave a comment below and discuss, also follow us on social media @SloppyVinyl to stay posted on all our content.
Denzel Curry dropped a new video for ‘BLACK BALLOONS’ a song off his last record ‘TA13OO.’ The production value on this video is really good. The video jumps through multiple settings, including a pretty dope animation sequence that’s a throwback to old fashioned black and white cartoons.
There also some heavy handed commentary on record labels, and how some artists sign away their vision for the sake of the bag. The track itself is smooth as hell too. ‘TA1300’ was one of the best albums from last year and hopefully we get more from Curry at some point in 2019.

We’re just about two weeks away from the premiere of the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ and HBO announced some good news. Yesterday, the network revealed that a week after the show’s finale, there will be a two hour documentary about the making of the show.
The documentary is titled ‘Game Of Thrones: The Last Watch’ and will give an in-depth look into the production of the show’s last season. It’s directed by Jeanie Finlay and will give access to the viewers to everything that was put into one of the largest television events in history.
According to Collider, the cast has also shot a massive reunion panel with Conan O’Brien moderating, however the interview will only be available on the Blu-ray set.
The documentary will allow fans to get one last fix of Thrones, while also giving a proper send-off after the show is wrapped up. The last season will arguable be the biggest pop culture event of the year, so any scenario where we get to extend our time with this show is extremely worthwhile. I can’t wait to see what’s in store.

Chicago rapper Noname tweeted early Thursday a tease for a new single titled ‘Song 32’ that is due out next week. This marks the first new song since the release of her debut studio album ‘Room 25’ that dropped back in September of 2018.
Noname first came to prominence with a feature on fellow Chi-town native Chance The Rapper’s debut mixtape ‘Acid Rap.’ Since then she has collaborated with Chance on a few other tracks and dropped her own mixtape ‘Telefone,’ launching herself into the mainstream.
In a follow up tweet to her tease, Noname revealed that she will be taking a some time off from making new music, presumably to focus on touring. Currently the Chicago rapper is on the European leg of her Room 25 tour, with U.S. dates coming in June, including a stop at Governor’s Ball in NYC.
