[BANDS YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO] TOOL

Tool is an alternative metal band composed of drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, and vocalist Maynard James Keenan. They are the leading American metal acts of the ‘90s inspired by unrelenting aggression and focused intensity.

Rolling Stone describes them as:

“Emerging in the early 1990s, Tool bridged the gap between classic heavy metal and alternative rock, mixing grinding guitars, dark thundering rhythms, and challenging lyrics.”

The vocalist Maynard James Keenan is an exceptionally talented artis that has a creative eye for the spiritual world. He takes his critical dark perspective on the world to create music and visuals that are thought-provoking and multi-layered. Tool is not like other bands in which they don’t care about a paycheck, but a chance to get their revolutionary and twisted views out to people who hold the same view points. They are unlike any other band, which makes them true icons in a sense.

Over the last four years, I have always gone back to Tool. They are a band that you never get tired of and even after multiple listens, one still finds a new meaning to take from the song. No one can be compared to them which makes them such a unique find. They do have similar styles to Nine Inch Nails, but they are on a different level than them.

Here are their top two best songs that defined them as artists:

Now you can thank me for showing you your new favorite song.

Now that you know these songs exist, you can listen to some of their other trippy masterpieces.

BAND TATTOO COVER UPS

When you have a favorite band, you want to get their lyrics tattooed all over your body if you are an extreme fangirl. But that comes at a price when these bands get outed for abuse. It can actually traumatize people knowing they have a creep tattooed on their body forever. So what do you do after that happens? Well, you can cut your skin off, or you can get a cover-up.

When the rock band Brand New’s lead singer got outed for sexual abuse, some tattoo artists stepped up to the plate. Tattoo artist Harriet Heath of Tooth and Talon tattoo is covering up Brand New tattoos in exchange for a donation to Rape Crisis England and Wales.

She stated,

“I feel so much sympathy for those who feel sick to their stomachs having his words on their bodies and want to be rid of them. I would like to give priority on this day to those who have been affected by sexual assault, for whom this news causes extra pain to. When you contact me you can simply add a #metooto the email and I will do my best to fit you in on the day.”

Could you imagine having this on your arm?

I would be pretty pissed to have this on both my arms

When the band Front Porch Step got outed for the lead singer trying to sleep with 14-year-olds, fans were enraged and went to the tattoo shop the next day.

Could you imagine actually supporting this creep?

The art of covering up a tattoo is even more impressive than the original design so I have a high regard for these artists who are able to do it well. Maybe one should think about getting a band tattooed on their body next time, we really have no idea what these people are like in reality.

LIL YACHTY TURNS UP AT THIS BAR MITZVAH PERFORMANCE

Lil Yachty, known for his feature on DRAM’s song “Broccoli”, just performed at a Bar Mitzvah and it got everyone out of their seats. Although we were unaware of where the party took place, it was put up on Youtube a few days ago and all the fans are super excited about this performance.

Just check this clip:

https://twitter.com/wa_3000/status/965454061007904768?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.complex.com%2Fmusic%2F2018%2F02%2Flil-yachty-turns-up-with-bar-mitzvah-performance

I think my favorite part of the clip is the little kids watching Yachty go all out and throw Champagne on the crowd. It seems like these kids got a lot more than they were expecting.

Here’s another clip:

I think it’s really funny that he is telling the kids to turn up. I’m definitely going to be rewatching this to see the look on the kid’s faces over and over again. This was certainly a great show for the teenagers in the crowd. The adults and the kids were probably perplexed at this trap rapper.

Lil Yachty always gives his all in performances and he never fails to entertain. I really wish I could have been at this Bar Mitzvah. The parents probably had to pay a pricy cost but it seems like it was certainly worth it.
