[Music] Lil Nas X reveals cover art for upcoming album

Lil Nas X has been on fire recently with his hit “Old Town Road” topping the Billboard charts for eight weeks. On Tuesday, he revealed the cover art for his upcoming album 7 along with more details.

“8 songs will be on the EP! NEXT MONTH,” he wrote of the project’s June release date. “I’m tryna make a visualizer (video) for every song on the ep and tryna work with upcoming animators on each one.”

The cover art features Lil Nas X on horseback, approaching a large, futuristic city. I take this to mean how he is planning on mixing hip hop and country music, just like “Old Town Road”.

Previously, Lil Nas X had teased fake cover art which was a reference to Drake’s legendary mixtape Nothing was the Same.

[Music] Kanye mentions J Cole in unreleased “What Would Meek Do?” demo

[Music] Kanye mentions J Cole in unreleased “What Would Meek Do?” demo

An unreleased demo of Pusha T’s “What Would Meek Do?” from his 2018 album DAYTONA has surfaced online.

Unlike the official release, this version has a verse from Kanye, with an interesting reference to what is probably J Cole.

“I am the Don of Vuitton / I am the Sean of Sean John / That’s the boss, ni**a,” raps Kanye. “You heard Cole on that song, he was tryna hate.”

Since there hasn’t been any news of beef between the two rappers, Kanye’s snipe at Cole is likely a reference to Cole’s song False Prophets. Though there is no explicit reference to Ye, it is mostly agreed upon that this song is about how J Cole realizes he can no longer idealize Kanye. “So he grows out of control/ Into the person that he truly was all along, it’s startin’ to show”

Despite the demo being taken down, I’m anxious to see how J Cole will respond to this. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Ed Sheeran has just dropped a new single featuring Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock. It is going to be on Sheeran’s upcoming album No. 6 Collaborations, that yes, will feature numerous collaborations.

With a catchy hook from PnB, Chance is the real star on this track. He brags about how close he is with his wife, Kirsten Corley. Since she’s been doing CrossFit, she can knock out any other guy that flirts with her. He also praises her authority and that anyone who wants to be friends with him, has to respect his woman.

Listen to the track below and let us know what you think in the comments.

[News] Cardi B trademarks the name “Bocktails with Cardi B”

[News] Cardi B trademarks the name “Bocktails with Cardi B”

Cardi B is attempting to make some more money moves. After an impressive run of a record Grammy’s performance and a new baby, Cardi B has filed for a trademark for the name “Bocktails with Cardi B”, according to TMZ. The website reports that the show is for “entertainment services in the nature of providing ongoing episodes for distribution via television and the Internet featuring celebrities and artists.”

From what I can ascertain, this sounds like a show with Cardi being joined by various celebrities, drinking. I’m sure there will be more to it even if I’m right about the drinking part: games, activities, and scenarios while drunk.

The trademark did not stop at a television show, though.  There will also be a roll-out of “clothing, including shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, hats, caps, footwear, skirts, dresses, blouses, sweaters, pants and shorts.”

And as expected, Cardi B wants the name for “alcoholic beverages, except beer and beverages containing beer.”

[Music] DJ Khaled and Will Smith collaborate on classic Aladdin song

[Music] DJ Khaled and Will Smith collaborate on classic Aladdin song

DJ Khaled and Will Smith have collaborated on the live action Aladdin’s soundtrack with the remake of the iconic song “Friend Like Me”

The song was originally sung by Robin Williams (R.I.P.), but Smith got a little jiggy with it and added a little funk to it. DJ Khaled produced the song, and adds in his famous ad-libs in the background.

Will Smith plays the genie in the remake, told Entertainment Weekly how he planned to honor the classic role but at the same time, make it his: “I started to feel confident that I could deliver something that was an homage to Robin Williams but was musically different. Just the flavor of the character would be different enough and unique enough that it would be in a different lane, versus trying to compete.”
