Backstage at a concert in London, the OVO record label’s team showed off each of their expensive outfits for an episode of Unknown Vlogs’ “How Much is Your Outfit?”. Currently on his Assassination Vacation tour with Tory Lanez, Drake sat back and let his friends show of their less expensive outfits first. Quite the gentleman.
When it was finally his turn, Drake humbly showed off his high-end clothing, which included many Tom Ford items. He was wearing a $11,000 custom Brioni jacket, $2,000 Tom Ford Turtleneck, $1,000 Tom Ford Trousers, $15,000 Crocodile Tom Ford Shoes, $200,000 chain, and a $750,000 Richard Mille rm69. Drake has always been known for wearing turtlenecks, especially in his music video for ‘Hotline Bling’. I no longer need to wonder if Drake likes Tom Ford clothing.
Afterward, Drake said it might have been the first $1 million dollar outfit on Unknown Vlogs’ segment and thanked the the channel for coming to the show and that this was Drake’s way of paying back. Maybe this will launch Unknown Vlogs into the international spotlight.
It was dope to see Drake dressed up so expensively and him personally show off each piece of clothing. I remember the first time I wore a $1 million dollar outfit and I don’t remember being so humble. I like how Drake supported the channel and provided it with an excellent episode for “How Much is Your Outfit?”.
In the new Joker trailer released on April 3rd, fans got a firsthand look at Joaquin Phoenix as the beloved villain. The trailer revealed interesting details about Arthur Fleck’s history and descent into madness. The movie’s tagline, “put on a happy face”, is on display from the very first scene in the trailer. With Nat King Cole’s “Smile” playing in the background, the scene opens with an aerial shot of New York City, then cuts to a therapist asking Arthur “does it help to have someone to talk to”. He stares blankly off into space and then flashes the therapist a creepy smile. Next, we’re shown a scene of Arthur bathing his mother and how she always tells him that his purpose is to bring laughter and joy to the world. Dressed as a clown, Arthur has his employer’s sign stolen by four men and chases after them. After following them down an alleyway, he is hit by his own sign. Arthur remarks how the world out there seems to be getting crazier and then starts to awkwardly smile while laughing inappropriately at a quiet show. We also get another glimpse of Fleck’s awkward smile while on the subway.
Arthur is seen running down a street with a bag in his hand and then slowly dancing with a gun in his hands. On a television, Thomas Wayne, played by Brett Cullen, says “what kind of coward would so something so cold-blooded? Someone who hides behind a mask.” Several more shots show Arthur, who is the Joker by now, running from the police and falling onto a car window. The trailer ends with a very chilling quote from Arthur that perfectly encapsulates his change into the Joker: “I used to think that my life was a tragedy. Now I realize it’s a comedy”.
This movie promises to be a captivating backstory of one of comics’ most beloved villains, the Joker. Creepy scene after creepy scene highlights Arthur’s journey from disturbed citizen to insane arch-villain. Joaquin Phoenix appears to be perfect for the role, emulating the Joker’s signature, disturbing smile. I also look forward to seeing how Batman is involved in the movie and the Joker’s reaction to the the Dark Knight.
