Andy Serkis, the motion capture actor behind “The Lord of the Rings” the “Planet of the Apes” remake and the new “Star Wars” films, has been working on his life action “Jungle Book” film long before the 2016 Disney live-action remake, starring Bill Murray and Lupita Nyong’o, was released in 2016.
The film, titled “Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle” has been in production turmoil. After the Disney remake of “The Jungle Book” made $966 million worldwide, it was obvious that “Mowgli” wasn’t going to be able to match the box office haul. I don’t even think its star-studded cast, including Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Benedict Cumberbatch, can save it.
Earlier this year, it was announced that “Mowgli” would be premiering directly to streaming 2019, but for it to be eligible for Oscars, Netflix announced it would be giving the film a limited theatrical release while being available to stream on December 7.
I feel like this whole “Mowgli” situation is just bad timing. Serkis has been killing it behind the scenes for years without getting the credit he deserves. He finally got a directorial debut, only for it to be overshadowed by the Disney remake.

“Mowgli” is promised to be darker, grittier and truer to the original source material, but I’m not confident it’s going to be a success. I’ll probably watch it at some point, but I’m not necessarily looking forward to it. Hopefully Serkis will be able to get a decent directorial follow-up and his behind the camera career can finally flourish.
Netflix’s “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” has been making headlines since its debut last month, and is now being sued by the Satanic Temple for $50 million.
Yes, we are taking legal action regarding #TheChillingAdventuresofSabrina appropriating our copyrighted monument design to promote their asinine Satanic Panic fiction.
The Baphomet is a deity that’s apparently unique to the Satanic Temple, and they’re not happy about showing up in the Netflix remake of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.”
What many people may not know about the Satanic Temple, is that they’re actually not Satan worshippers in the traditional sense, like they’re portrayed in this season of “American Horror Story: Apocalypse”, but they’re more anti-organized religion.

Regardless if they’re actually hailing the Antichrist or not, the Satanic Temple doesn’t want to be associated with the “Sabrina” series. They fear it’s going to start another “Satanic Panic.” During the 80’s and 90’s, there was near universal fear and panic surrounding Dungeons and Dragons players, heavy metal music and the West Memphis Three.

I guess it’s fair that the Temple doesn’t want anything to do with the show, since the whole “Satanic Panic” thing was really problematic and actually did sway public perception, but with a name like The Satanic Temple, it’s easy to see why at least some people would have a negative connotation with their organization/religion.
Do you think the Satanic Temple has any ground in suing “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and Netflix? Let me know in the comments below!
Vince Gilligan, the creator of “Breaking Bad” announced that he’s planning a sequel to the AMC smash hit, set after the finale, which aired in 2013. Rumor has it, it will follow an escaped man (presumably Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul) as he tries to regain his freedom.
Bryan Cranston said he has yet to see a script for a “Breaking Bad” sequel, but he’s interested, despite his character dying in the show’s finale (sorry for spoiling the 2013 finale, but if you haven’t seen it by now, that’s on you).
We already have a “Breaking Bad” prequel with “Better Call Saul” which I hear is really good, but for some reason, I haven’t watched it yet. I, like the vast majority of America, loved “Breaking Bad” and think Vince Gilligan is one of the best showrunners in TV history. I have faith that if he has an idea, it’s got to be a good one.
Not only is there no release date, but there’s also no set production schedule out, so all bets are off as to when this “Breaking Bad” movie will be released. Additionally, it’s unclear if it will be a theatrical film, or directly released to AMC, the network where “Breaking Bad” aired.
What are your thoughts on a “Breaking Bad” movie? Are you here for it, or do you think they should leave well enough alone? Let me know in the comments below.
Idris Elba has been named People’s sexiest man alive 2018, and many of us are wondering what took so long!
According to People the British eye-candy has become “one of Hollywood’s biggest – and sexiest – stars,” and I don’t see anyone disagreeing. The 46-year-old actor, who has just been recently engaged, has starred in a number of projects from HBO’s hit show The Wire to Marvel’s Thor.
When the magazine asked the star what he thought about his new accolade, he stated “I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really?” The accomplished actor admitted that he “Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise — an ego boost for sure.”
Though it is very hard to believe, the actor does insist that he too went through an awkward stage during his time as a number one athlete at his all boys school in London. “I was very tall and skinny.”
Elba has been added to a long list of Peoples sexiest men alive. The list includes Mel Gibson and Blake Shelton.
Make sure you comment down below what you think of Peoples sexiest man alive list, and who you would like to see on it.
12 people have died after a gunman opened fire in a California bar on college night.
On Wednesday night at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks California an innocent college night ended in people fighting for their lives. According to CNN 10 to 15 individuals were also injured and the suspected gunman was found dead at the scene.
Among the deceased that night was a sheriffs deputy, Sergeant Ron Helus. Ron Helus had been a member of the force for 29 years. Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean states that “Ron was a hardworking, dedicated sheriff’s sergeant. He was totally committed. He gave his all and tonight, as I told his wife, he died a hero. He went in to save lives, to save other people.”
Dean also mentioned the inside of the club saying “it’s a horrific scene in there. There is blood everywhere.”
Police have identified the gunman to be 28-year-old Ian David Long. According to Aljazeera, it is reported that Long used smoke bombs before opening fire inside the club. Police have stated that hundreds of civilians were inside for the clubs “College Country Night” that is apparently hosted every Wednesday night. Police reveal that as of right now only one injury was in result of a gun shot whereas others were sustained from jumping out of windows and diving under tables.
According to ABC15 this marks the 307th mass shooting this year alone. This is something that has become a startling fear in our country and places even bigger emphasis on gun control and gun laws.
Comment down below what you think about gun control and if the number of mass shootings the country has endured makes you look differently on the situation.
