CHANCE THE INNOVATOR

Big news Chano fans! Chicago MC Chance The Rapper will receive an Innovator Award at the 2018 iHeartRadio Awards for both his accomplishments in the music industry and the unmeasurable contributions he has made to social causes.

In December, Google donated $1 million to Chance’s charity to fund coding classes for 20 different schools throughout Chicago.

In 2017, Chance raised millions for the Chicago Public School system.

Chance is constantly giving back to his community while at the same time, making some pretty dope music. And because of this, who deserves it more than Chano?

Job Bon Jovi and Camila Cabello are also set to receive special honors alongside Chance.

The awards hosted by DJ Khaled and Hailey Baldwin is scheduled to take place March 11 in Los Angeles.

FERGIE APOLOGIZES FOR HER RENDITION OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM

NBA All-Star weekend was full of headlining events but there’s one in particular that has Twitter…well, doing what twitter does best. Pretty much EVERYBODY had something to say about Fergie’s jazz style rendition on The Star Spangled Banner that even had a lot of celebrities in attendance cracking up as well. Although there are some fans out there telling Twitter to leave Fergie alone, others hilariously expressed their opinions.

Fergie took a lot of heat from the internet after last night performance but recently she broke her silence and says she was just trying to take a risk, and clearly it didn’t pay off. The former Black Eyed Peas member said “I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA. I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best.”

What do you think? Check out Fergie’s performance below.

QUAVO NAMED MVP OF NBA ALL-STAR CELEBRITY GAME

Last night NBA All-Star festivities kicked off in Las Angeles and Migos’ Quavo showed off his ball skills and was named MVP! The game was full of stars like Common,Nick Cannon, Justin Bieber, Jamie Foxx and former NBA starts Paul Pierce and Tracey McGrady. Huncho finished the game with 19 points and 5 boards. He said he tried to go for a 20 piece but as long as he had the most points, that’s all that matters. The “Stir Fry” rapper spilled that he did put in a little work before hand to prep for the big game. He says, “I had to get right for this game… had to make sure the left hand was still there. That’s it.”

Of course his brothers Takeoff and Offset were there to help him celebrate his victory. Offset says:

“My boy, he gone show up every time…that’s the ‘Cho, man. Huncho, he can pull up. Nineteen points, the leading scorer. You know what’s going on.”

Check out some footage from the game below.

LEBRON JAMES RESPONDS TO COMMENT “SHUT UP AND DRIBBLE”

Lebron James responded to the controversial comments made by Fox News’ Laura Ingraham. James stated that “Trump really don’t give a f— about the people”. In response to this Ingraham said James and Golden State Warrior Kevin Durant should “shut up and dribble” instead of expressing their political views. James was asked about the comments made by the fox reporter Saturday night. He laughed and said that Ingraham’s comments only prove that what he has been saying about societal issues all along has been correct. Great response King James. He later let’s twitter know he will NOT shut up and dribble.

Other NBA players joined in responding to Ingraham’s comments, including James’s former teammate on the Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade. He says:

“They use to try and hide it.. now the president has given everyone the courage to live their truths,”
