In honor of today being the first day of summer, Dairy Queen is offering one free small cone with any purchase and the download of their official app.
This means that you can’t go in to a DQ and walk out only with a cone: you need to actually buy something. By my calculations, a small Arctic Rush is the cheapest item on the menu for $1.69. Get one of those and you should be in the clear for a “free” small cone.

Jay Z just invested $1 million in a black-owned vegan cookie company called Partake Foods. It’s also dope because it is based in New Jersey.
Partake was founded in 2016 by the former Coca-Cola’s national sales director, Denise Woodard. This is a big upside because investors might be unsure of the market for vegan cookies but if someone with that much sales experience is sure to know a lot about potential markets.
It didn’t start out easy for Woodard; after launching the company, she had to sell cookies out of her car for 6 months while delivering daily demos for store managers and consumers.
Currently, Partake Food products are in 300 stores with Woodard commenting to Black Enterprise, ““We expect to finish this year with a new pack offering and in over 1,000 stores. We are so excited to collaborate with the MVP and Factory teams, as they both bring a wealth of knowledge in brand building and scaling consumer companies.” That’s a long intelligent sentence…another good sign.
Woodard said she would use Hova’s investment to expand the brand and her employees. Other investors include The FactoryBackstage Capital, SoFi Ventures, and Chuck Muth, Chief Growth Officers of Beyond Meat.

There is a new app in the markets and it’s here to equalize the Music Industry.
With over 3 million artists on Spotify and only 1% of that 3 million getting the right exposure, TWEEDL is giving artists an equal chance to be heard by music lovers everywhere.
The purpose of the app is to connect and engage aspiring artist with music lovers while empowering them both. It’s created a community that allows an artist to upload their music and easily share their music across their social media networks, engage and interact with their fans in many unique ways, tell their story in their bio, let music lovers vote on their music and subject their music to a ranking by the people.

It also allows listeners to easily discover new music by genre with a simple thumb scroll, vote on and share new music across their social network, create playlists, explore new artists profiles, and get serious about selecting the next hot artists by tracking their tastemaker status.
It’s almost like a Tindr for artist and music lovers..
As you open the app you will see different music genres, each genre is packed with 30-second snippets of an artists songs. One week since the tragic death of Nipsey Hussle his Grammy-nominated album”Victory Lap” returns to Billboards. The album sold over 66’000 copies the highest its ever sold even on its release date. It was only beat out by Billie English “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” But none of that matters because Nipsey owned all his masters so this is a big boom for his family. Nipsey Hussle funeral will be held at the Staples Center in La to accommodate all of his family, friends, and fans.

10 Years out the game Mario is back for the fame!
On October 5th he released “Dancing Shadows” , making this his first album in 10 years.
He recently made a peek a boo cover “Girl Like You” over Meek Mills “Dangerous” beat.
This album is a combination of who he use to be and who he is now.
He recently discussed this in his radio interview on SiriusXM.
He also mentioned that a “Dancing Shadows” Tour can be in the works, so we will stay tuned for more information on that.
Mario gave the audience details on his upcoming role on the hit show “Empire”.
His role as a young kid who cares for his sick sister, and music happens to save them both.
Playing in this role he experienced the true meaning to rebuild something that was once so strong.
One of the songs from the album, “Drowning” has a twisted meaning behind it.
Mario seems to be involved intimately with another woman, while he is still thinking/in love with someone else.
The video has just over 3 Million views on YouTube.
Being one of the first singles from the album it gave us the satisfaction that we oh so needed.
This was a small peek at what’s to come. DANCING SHADOWS.
This project was something that he needed to work on after losing his mom.
Of course this was a sensitive topic to discuss, but he did mention that he let his emotions flow through his music.
He has proved that you can come back and overcome just about any and everything, to do what you love.
We don’t want to classify him as a new and improved artist, lets just say he’s back to finish what he started.
Welcome Back Mario!
Sincerely A 90’s Baby
“Drowning” is my favorite song on the album.
This was the first song that gave me goose bumps.
Mario has extended his vocal range and matured amazingly.
This album represents the work that he will continue to deliver for years to come.
STAY TUNED FOR MORE ALBUM UPDATES.
