Space Jam 2 is shaping up to have more stars than just LeBron James. According to multiple reports, LeBron will be joined by fellow Laker Anthony Davis, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard, Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul, and one-half of the splash bros with Klay Thompson from the Golden State Warriors.
There will be female basketball stars as well, including Diana Taurasi, and Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike.
The sisters play for the Los Angeles Sparks, which brings the total to four Los Angeles-based players. LakeShowWorld.com was the first to report on the cast and the movie will be filmed in Hollywood so that all kind of makes sense.
The “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler will produce and “Random Acts of Flyness” creator Terence Nance will direct. This movie has been rumored about for about three to four years, so it’s nice to see all the pieces falling into place.
A new international TV spot featuring Beyonce and Donald Glover singing the Elton John classic “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” for The Lion King, has surfaced online.
The two singers play Simba and Nala, and Mufasa narrates the clip, saying, “”Look at the stars—the great kings look down on us from those stars. And so will I.”
Bill Eichner, who will play Timon in the movie, said in January that when he heard the two singing the duet, he cried. See if you have the same reaction, below
Netflix’s global domination plan is underway. Step 1 is to get into the video games market. Bloomberg reports that Stranger Things 3: The Game is apparently in the works and set to be released on July 4th, the same day that the new season comes out.
This really is a baby step though; Netflix isn’t building the game itself. Instead, it is licensing characters to studios that will be making the game. “We’re looking for opportunities to extend the universe of these shows and films into other mediums,” Chris Lee, the director of interactive games at Netflix, said. “To me, it was really obvious to try to do that into video games.” I hope by other mediums he doesn’t mean human consciousnesses.
Netflix games will be available on all consoles, including PC.
According to CNN, Cuba Gooding Jr. has been charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor, related to an alleged incident this past weekend in New York City.
Gooding’s attorney, Mark Heller, said during a press conference that his client is compliant with police and expects to be fully exonerated. He will enter into a not guilty plea.
Heller went into further detail about the case in a press conference: “In my 50 years, almost, of practicing law, I have never seen a case like this one because there is not a scintilla of criminal culpability that can be attributed to Mr. Cuba Gooding Jr. after I have extensively, with my staff, reviewed the video of almost two hours which reflects the entire event for which we are here today. Mr. Gooding has not acted inappropriately in any shape or form. Nothing in the video could even be considered ambiguous and I, frankly, am shocked and horrified that this case is being prosecuted.”
Basically, a 29 year old woman filed a police report that Gooding Jr. had grabbed her breast while Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in Manhattan on Sunday.
Gooding Jr. denies these claims.
There was a similar situation in 2012, in which he was accused of pushing a bartender, but the charges were later dropped.

Nickelodeon has announced the cast for the new reboot of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” Sam Ashe Arnold, Miya Cech, Tamara Smart, Jeremy Taylor, Lyliana Wray, and Rafael are all set to star in the show that comes out in Halloween.
According to Deadline, the series will consist of three hour-long episodes that features a new group of kids in “The Midnight Society”. Together, they will tell the story of the Carnival of Doom.
“Are You Afraid of the Dark?” was groundbreaking in its day, with its ghost story anthology premise totally redefining what entertainment for kids. It was created by DJ MacHale and Ned Kandel and aired from 1992 to 1996 and again from 1999 to 2000. This show reboot is one of many that Nickelodeon is doing, including ones for “Spongebob” and “All That”.
The network stated that the events in the miniseries will coincide with the “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” movie that comes out later this year.
In a tweet that came out of nowhere, Justin Bieber has challenged Tom Cruise to a fight in the octagon, and called out to UFC president Dana White to put on the fight.
Cruise has not commented on the tweet, and many expect him to decline. However that hasn’t stopped others from outlining the matchup.
@PMTsportsbiz laid out the details on the two unlikely fighters in a tweet. Cruise is more than double Bieber’s age at 56 and 25, and has twice the net worth, at $570M and $265M. However, Bieber is two inches taller and has a three inch longer estimated reach.
Despite this apparent physical disparity, many expect that Tom Cruise would destroy Justin. Cruise trains regularly for his action movies, and often does his own stunts. Also, he is likely 15 pounds bigger than Bieber, though his weight is unclear.
In a tweet, UFC fighter Conor McGregor offered to host the fight and mocked Cruise, saying that the fight would only happen if he is “man enough to accept the challenge” and “Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies?”
Though this fight would be huge and very entertaining, I just don’t see it happening.
