[Music] Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” is Available on All Streaming Platforms

Three years after the release of her monster album Lemonade, Beyoncé has finally released her album on all streaming platforms. The album was exclusive to Tidal for the past few years, now platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play get to reap the rewards of “Queen B’s” music.

Beyoncé has been making a whole lot of noise over the past few weeks. It was announced earlier this month that she has teamed up with Adidas to make a signature shoe with the brand. Beyoncé will also re-launch her athletic clothing brand, Ivy Park, under the Adidas umbrella. She joins the likes of Kanye West, and Donald Glover, to join the athletic apparel company.

Last Friday, Netflix released a documentary titled Homecoming, that highlighted Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella performance. The film shows her performance in its entirety, as well as giving and inside look to the the process of the work and message that was put into the performance. This is the first of three projects that Beyoncé will release for Netflix. The deal she signed with the streaming service is a reported $60 million.

Lemonade is out everywhere now, so if you have been holding out for this long, give it a listen today. Also be sure to give us a follow on social media @SloppyVinyl for more news and content.

DMX has landed a role as a detector in a new movie called Chronicle of a Serial Killer. He will play Detective White, who attempts to track down a serial killer that searches for women that will be like his mother. The film will also star Brendan Sexton as the serial killer, Henry Brolin.

The movie will be directed by Steve Stanulis and is set to come out in June. When asked about his decision to cast DMX, Stanulis said, ““When my casting director suggested DMX it immediately resonated with me as a perfect fit.I have no doubt he is going bring a different dynamic to the role and I’m excited to have him part of this talented cast. I’m looking forward to working with him and everyone else this summer.”

DMX got his acting role as Tommy Bundy in the 1998 movie, Belly. Other movies he’s appeared in were Exit Wounds and Cradle 2 The Game.

[News] Meek Mill deletes Instagram

Meek Mill has had an interesting relationship with social media which include professional and familial beef. On Saturday, Meek Mill decided he had had enough and deleted his Instagram.

After fans started noticing, Meek posted on Twitter: “No social media…just real life!” After even further questioning, Meek said, “I’m on real life vibes now…lol I be tired of seeing that capping sometimes”.

I totally see where Meek is coming from as the dishonesty and deception on social media has become integral parts of the platform. And what’s more is that it seems to completely control some people to the point in which its the main form of reality that they care about.

Thankfully for us fans, it’s a good sign to see that Meek is still on Twitter. Despite all the negatives of social media, it still remains a very powerful source of communication between celebrities and fans.

[News] Tyga drops lawsuit against Cash Money and Birdman

[News] Tyga drops lawsuit against Cash Money and Birdman

According to Blast, Tyga has dropped the lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money. The suit claimed that they owed Tyga $1 million in royalties for his Hotel California and Careless World albums. Tyga and his legal team were suing for breach of contract and $10 million in damages.

Last year, the case had taken a surprising turn when Birdman started to claim that it was actually Tyga that owed Cash Money money, not the other way around. That accusation may have something to do with Tyga dropping the case.

Cash Money has run into problems with artists before with Lil Wayne famously suing them for $51 million in 2015. Even though Tyga has dropped the case, let’s just hope that everyone is getting what they’re owed. Hard work needs to be rewarded.

[Music] Coachella Recap

[Music] Coachella Recap

This year, Coachella did not disappoint. One of the highlights of weekend one was Beyonce’s set that included duets with Jay Z and Solange, and a full blown Destiny’s Child reunion that blew the roof off. After coming off a stellar Grammys this year, Cardi B performed flawlessly with many of the featured guests from her album Invasion of Privacy such as Chance the Rapper and 21 Savage. What was even more impressive was that Cardi is noticeably pregnant, and still performed with intoxicating energy.

Weekend 2 was also chock full of notable performances. In a surprise turn of events, Ariana Grande brought out Justin Bieber and the two performed Justin’s “Sorry” together. Very characteristically, A$AP Rocky rocked the house with his performance on Friday night, which included bringing out Tyler the Creator to perform their remix of Kanye’s “Freestyle 4”. Speaking of Kanye, he was another highlight of the weekend when he performed one of his Sunday Services on top of a man-made mountaintop. The performance drew 50,000 in-person spectators, as well as being live streamed on YouTube.

Other impressive performers included New Jersey-based DJs, UNIIQU3 and R3LL. Along with mixing in catchy instrumentals, UNIIQU3 spits straight fire at remarkable speed. R3LL’s performance was also lit, and had many spectators finding it impossible to not dance along.

[News] YNW Melly Faces Death Penalty

[News] YNW Melly Faces Death Penalty

YNW Melly might be in some more trouble than he initially thought. The state of Florida is pursuing the death penalty on the 19 year old rapper for the murder of two of his friends.

Melly is accused of conducting a shooting, killing both his friends, and then staging the crime scene as a drive by shooting, in an attempt to exonerate himself. Melly’s friends, were fellow rappers who were only just 21 and 19 years old, respectively.

TMZ reports, that the state has proof that the Florida rapper killed his friends for financial benefits, and that the murder was especially heinous because it appears to be a calculated, cold murder. The state also believes that Melly is affiliated with a gang.

Melly saw his star rise earlier this year, when he was able to get a Kanye West feature. His song, “Murder On My Mind,” skyrocketed up the charts as a result of his crime. Currently, the song is just shy of 200,000,000 streams on Spotify.

The case will continue in the coming weeks, and there is no further news at this time. We will update accordingly as more news comes in.
