[Television] New Game of Thrones Pictures Released

April 14 is coming, and we keep getting more and more news on the final season of “Game of Thrones.”

In a feature from Entertainment Weekly, we get to see some of the magazine covers for their “Thrones” issue as well as some new stills from the upcoming season of the show.

The EW article highlights and upcoming battle that took 11 weeks to shoot and is being heralded as the largest battle ever filmed. The entire cast and crew had to endure freezing cold temperatures and long days in order to capture the scenes, leading up to one big epic war against the living and dead. Rory McCann, better known to viewers as The Hound, was not fond of the grueling filming scheduling commenting, “Everybody prays they never have to do this again.”

The show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are hoping the fans love the finale, but are worried that they won’t satisfy everybody. The show will air it’s finale on May 19, will you be watching? We know that we will be.

[Music] Lil Peep Documentary set to Premiere at SXSW

[Music] Lil Peep Documentary set to Premiere at SXSW

The new Lil Peep documentary “Everybody’s Everything” is set to premiere at South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas this March.

The documentary was directed by Sebastian Ryan and Ramez Silyan. Acclaimed film director Terrance Malik is an executive producer on the project and it will be shown on three different dates during the run of the festival: March 10, 12, and 14.

The late rapper was one of the most unique artists making music, blending genres like emo rap and punk rock. His sound was taking music into a brand new direction, his voice was completely his own. It’s rare to have an artist be so innovative with his or her music, and to die so young without seeing out what could have been. This documentary will get to explore the world that surrounded Lil Peep, and hopefully give us more understanding and closure of who he was.

[Music] Here’s a Look at What’s Dropping This Weekend

[Music] Here’s a Look at What’s Dropping This Weekend

February is officially over starting Friday, but we still have some big artists dropping new projects to kick off March. With spring right on the horizon, here’s a list of some of new stuff that’s coming this weekend that you can add to your playlist.

2 Chainz- “Rap or Go to the League” 3/1

After a two year hiatus, 2 Chainz is back with his fifth solo album. The Atlanta rapper announced earlier this month that NBA superstar LeBron James would serve as the executive producer on the album. It’s always a pleasant surprise when 2 Chainz drops new music.

Solange- “When I Get Home” 3/1

Solange has been making some buzz on her Twitter account this week, teasing the potential release of a new album. Today it was announced that her new project will be coming out tomorrow. It’s a 19 track album and a follow up to her incredibly successful “A Seat at the Table.”

Hozier- “Wasteland, Baby!” 3/1

The sophomore album from folk rocker Hozier is set to come out tomorrow. His self-titled debut, which came out five years ago, had some massive radio play and the Irish-native soared into the mainstream with his hit “Take Me To Church.” It’ll be interesting to see if he can build off his success and avoid a slump.

Lil Skies- “Shelby” 3/1

Another sophomore album set to be released tomorrow comes from Soundcloud rapper Lil Skies. His sound fits in with the current wave of hip-hop so don’t be surprised if this new project catches fire. The rapper also announced that he will be going on tour with Lil Pump this spring.

Weezer– “The Black Album” 3/1

Not to be confused with Jay-Z, this is 100% a Weezer album. There are people out there who still believe Weezer can make a good record. I am one of those people. The band’s most recent release “The Teal Album” had the group covering classic 80’s songs, but this new release is all original music. Let’s just pray it’s closer to “The Blue Album” and “Pinkerton” than “Raditude.”

Lil Xan- “Be Safe” 3/3

The Cali rapper rounds out the weekend with his second album titled “Be Safe.” Lil Xan is dropping this project on Sunday, fresh off the news that he is expecting his first child. The album has been postponed once before, so there is a chance it may happen again, but it should still be on the radar for this Sunday.

[Sports] Bryce Harper has Finally Signed with the Philadelphia Phillies

After a looooonnnngggg offseason of waiting, Bryce Harper has finally signed a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies per Jon Heyman.

Harper has agreed to a 13 year $330 million deal, making it the highest free agent contract ever handed out in the history of professional sports. The former NL MVP isn’t moving too far from Washington and is staying within the division to continue his reign of terror amongst the NL East. The finer details of the contract are still being figured out, but Harper has, at long last, found a new home.

Philadelphia has had a monster offseason adding a handful of other All-Stars like shortstop Jean Segura, catcher J.T. Realmuto, and outfielder Andrew McCutchen. The team adds on to a plethora of young talent and have become automatic World Series contenders with this gigantic acquisition. Harper should be joining the team for spring training as soon as the ink is officially dry on the contract.

[Music] New Set of Vampire Weekend Singles are Coming in March

[Music] New Set of Vampire Weekend Singles are Coming in March

Two new singles from Vampire Weekend’s fourth studio album “Father Of The Bride” are set to be released on March 6.

The band announced on their Instagram page that two new songs titled “Sunflower” and “Big Blue” will commence phase two of their album rollout. Earlier in the year, the group wanted to release two new songs each month leading up to their album date in either April or May.

Last week the group released the video for their single “Harmony Hall” featuring Jonah Hill in a cameo appearance. It was also announced that Hill would direct an upcoming video for the band, which makes it a good bet to think that he will be behind the camera for their next drop.

We’ll be sure to cover the new tracks when they are officially released. The last batch of songs were great so officially the band can keep the hot streak alive.
