[NEWS] RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA LEGALIZED IN CANADA

[NEWS] RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA LEGALIZED IN CANADA

Canadians waited in line for hours Wednesday morning to purchase their first legalized joints.

Canada has become the second country in the world to make Marijuana legal. According to The New York Times, Canada’s new federal cannabis act states that adults will be allowed to possess, carry, and share with other adults up to 30 grams of dried cannabis, enough to roll roughly 60 regular-size joints. They will also be permitted a maximum of four homegrown marijuana plants per household in most provinces. Though pre-rolled joints, marijuana flowers, and cannabis oils will all be permitted under the law, pot-infused food, also known as edibles, will not be for another year.

Following the country’s legalization of marijuana many wonder if the country will pardon those who have been convicted for obtaining marijuana before it became legalized. The government has since announced that they will be giving pardons to those who were convicted for possessing small amounts. Aside from pardons, other questions have surfaced regarding how police will enforce rules about driving while high, or how employers will deal with employees coming into work under the influence.

Many Canadians are ecstatic about the legalization of marijuana. Marco Beaulieu, 29, was interviewed by the New York Times and has stated that he has never felt “so proud to be Canadian.” The Janitor added, while waiting outside a government cannabis retailer, “Canada is once again a progressive global leader. We have gay rights, feminism, abortion rights, and now we can smoke pot without worrying police are going to arrest us.”

In light of Canada’s progressive movement, hopefully more countries will soon follow. Comment down below what you think of the legalization of marijuana in Canada and if you believe it should be legal in other countries.

[NEWS] THE CONVERSATION THAT LED TO PRESIDENT TRUMP AND KANYES BIG EMBRACE

[NEWS] THE CONVERSATION THAT LED TO PRESIDENT TRUMP AND KANYES BIG EMBRACE

Today was the day for President Trumps long awaited lunch with rapper, Kanye West.

Trump allowed Kanye to steal the show, saying barely a word during their 25 minute conversation alongside former NFL player, Jim Brown.  The conversation was broadcasted live, allowing viewers to share their comments as they watched Kanye rant about a number of controversial issues.

During the conversation Kanye talked about topics revolving around the black community, mental health, stop and frisk, gun control, and his future plans to run for president. The rapper stated that stop and frisk was something many people told him to bring up following the claims President Trump made earlier in the week stating, Chicago should strongly consider implementing a stop-and-frisk program. Similar to the one that was enforced in New York City. West explained that implementing this would be detrimental for the relationships in the city of Chicago. In response, Trump stated that he was very open-minded to having a conversation about it.

West also touches on his support of the President and how wearing the MAGA hat makes him feel like superman. This is something that has been baffling for a lot of people considering the Presidents racist tendencies and comments. The rapper expresses that the use of again doesn’t correlate to the times of slavery for him, but instead correlates to today and living in the now. The rapper expressed that “when I said I like Trump to like someone who is a liberal, they’ll say, ‘Oh, but he’s racist.’ You think racism can control me? Oh, that don’t stop me. That’s an invisible wall.”

Since the live broadcast, celebrities have come out to express their views on the conversation, one of which being rapper T.I. T.I. expressed his frustration with his former friend in a long Instagram post, explaining that when Kanye originally asked him to attend this same meeting, naturally T.I. said no.

I don’t know about any of you, but I for one am very tired of the Kanye show and his outlandish attempts to remain relevant.

Make sure you comment down below if you watched the live broadcasting and what you think about the conversation.

[NEWS] MELANIA TRUMP ON THE #METOO MOVEMENT

[NEWS] MELANIA TRUMP ON THE #METOO MOVEMENT

Melanie Trump gives her insight on the #MeToo movement and I really wish she hadn’t.

It has been a year since the #MeToo movement spread virally across the social media platforms throughout the world. Since then,  the movement has created a community of survivors who share their stories of sexual assault and abuse as well as encouragement and motivation to overcome this terrible phenomenon.

This year has not been easy for victims of sexual assault as they are constantly reminded of their abuse from headline after headline. The most recent headline has involved Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, who was accused by Christine Blasey-Ford. Ford shared her heartbreaking story of what occurred the night of her assault with all of America. In result, Kavanaugh was still voted in as the new Supreme Court Justice of the United States, a devastating feat for the survivors of sexual assault all over the world.

Following the hearings, the First Lady shared her opinion with the world stating that “if you accuse (someone) of something, show the evidence.”

Personally, I believe Melania Trumps comments about survivors is both a form of victim shaming and a prime example of shifting the blame. Telling a survivor that they need to make sure they have “hard core evidence” after being sexually violated and humiliated is offensive and disgusting. Though this is something I do not believe should have been said by the first lady, it is not surprising after hearing her husbands crude comments about the topic.

Comment down below what you think about the comments.

[NEWS] HURRICANE MICHAEL

[NEWS] HURRICANE MICHAEL

Hurricane Michael has made its appearance Tuesday afternoon at Mexico Beach in Florida.

Though Floridians were told to evacuate, many have not done so. According to Florida Governor Rick Scott, Hurricane Michael will be the worst storm in 100 years. This storm will quickly shed rainfall on the already saturated regions that  were affected by Hurricane Florence just last month.

According to BBC residents were advised to not venture into the calm of the eye, as hazardous winds will increase very quickly. Scott stated that “the worst thing you can do now is leave” adding that doing so can “put yourself and your family in danger”. Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Brock Long met with the White House expressing his concern for the stability of buildings that were built before 2001 and not able to withstand category 3 storms. President Trump responded stating “we just hope those the structures can hold up. And if not, that they’re not in those structures,” referring to the residents that did not evacuate when told to.

Florida is officially in a state of emergency, as well as Georgia and Alabama. People are taking to social media to show the damage that has been done so far.

Be sure to keep Florida and the residents who did not evacuate in your prayers and comment down below your thoughts and opinions.

[Music] Guess Who’s Back? MARIO

[Music] Guess Who’s Back? MARIO

SiriusXM NYC

10 Years out the game Mario is back for the fame!

On October 5th he released “Dancing Shadows” , making this his first album in 10 years.

He recently made a peek a boo cover “Girl Like You” over Meek Mills “Dangerous” beat.

This album is a combination of who he use to be and who he is now.

He recently discussed this in his radio interview on SiriusXM.

He also mentioned that a “Dancing Shadows” Tour can be in the works, so we will stay tuned for more information on that.

Mario gave the audience details on his upcoming role on the hit show “Empire”.

His role as a young kid who cares for his sick sister, and music happens to save them both.

Playing in this role he experienced the true meaning to rebuild something that was once so strong.

One of the songs from the album, “Drowning” has a twisted meaning behind it.

Mario seems to be involved intimately with another woman, while he is still thinking/in love with someone else.

The video has just over 3 Million views on YouTube.

Being one of the first singles from the album it gave us the satisfaction that we oh so needed.

This was a small peek at what’s to come.  DANCING SHADOWS.

This project was something that he needed to work on after losing his mom.

Of course this was a sensitive topic to discuss, but he did mention that he let his emotions flow through his music.

He has proved that you can come back and overcome just about any and everything, to do what you love.

We don’t want to classify him as a new and improved artist, lets just say he’s back to finish what he started.

Welcome Back Mario!

Sincerely A 90’s Baby

“Drowning” is my favorite song on the album.

This was the first song that gave me goose bumps.

Mario has extended his vocal range and matured amazingly.

This album represents the work that he will continue to deliver for years to come.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE ALBUM UPDATES.

There have been approximately twelve minor injuries reported to police such as ankle injuries and lacerations from attempting to jump fences,” the department said in a statement. “The event location is being cleared out by police at this time.”

The concerted ended early due to panic. Wayne took to twitter with the caption “Hope everyone at A3C is safe!!”
