In January Dua Lipa released a technicolor music video for her single “Physical” off her upcoming album Future Nostalgia. Today, the British singer has released an 80s inspired workout video for the single.
While the single’s original music video is more focused on the “future” aspect of her upcoming album, the new workout has a much more 80s nostalgia look and feel to it. Dua is dressed in a yellow body suit that reads “Physical” and matching socks to go along with it, both of which can be purchased online.
The 24-year-old singer channels her inner Olivia Newton John in the new workout video. “Hey, I’m Dua and I’ll be your instructor today,” she says. She is the epitome of fitness as she walks us through her routine. She starts us off with a warm up filled with slow movements and stretches to get our limbs ready for some serious grooving. Things then begin to pick up as she brings out the mats and everyone begins to do moves like “The Crybaby,” and “The Fonda.”
Dua’s sophomore album Future Nostalgia is set to release on April 3. She has also released the album’s title track and “Don’t Stop Now” as singles. Check out the original “Physical” music video below.
Happy Friday! The music world has again kicked off the weekend with the release of new music from several of our favorite artists. I’m sure you’ll have a difficult time deciding what to listen to first, because I know I sure did. Today we have new albums and singles from Megan Thee Stallion, Jhené Aiko, Gunna, JADAKISS, Lil Uzi Vert, OnlyJahmez and Demi Lovato.
Megan Thee Stallion- SUGA
Megan Thee Stallion has jumped through some major hurdles this past week in order to make it to this important day. Despite the beef with independent record label 1501 Certified Entertainment, she has still managed to drop her much anticipated debut album Suga. The album includes features from Kehlani and 300 label mate Gunna (who also released a new single today). Along with her album she released the official music video for single “B.I.T.C.H.”
Jhené Aiko- Chilombo
In an interview with Billboard about her new album Chilombo, Jhené Aiko said, “In a sense, I am like a Volcano, and this album is an eruption.” And a beautiful eruption it is. Chilombo (her surname), spans 20 tracks and includes features from Big Sean, H.E.R., Future, Miguel, Ab-Soul, Nas,John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign and Dr. Chill. Aiko recorded the entire album in Hawaii where her great grandmother was born. This is one of Aiko’s more experimental projects as she experiments with sound bowls that are commonly used during meditation and healing sessions. She told Billboard that the sounds can be heard on every track, and she plans to continue using them in future records.
Gunna– “SKYBOX (Single)“
“SKYBOX” is a brand new single off Gunna’s forthcoming album Wunna, the follow up to 2019 Drip or Drown 2. The upcoming doesn’t have a release date yet, but is set to release some time this year. Gunna also released a music video directed by Spike Jordan to accompany the new single. The music video shows Gunna in human and doll form riding in a hot air ballon, crash to Earth, and then kick it with some belly dancers.
JADAKISS– Ignatius
After a short delay following the passing of Pop Smoke, JADAKISS has dropped his latest project Ignatius. The rapper’s fifth studio album spans 13 tracks with appearances from Pusha T, Ty Dolla $ign, 2 Chainz, Dej Loaf and John Legend.
Lil Uzi Vert- Eternal Atake
The follow-up to Luv is Rage 2 is finally here, and Lil Uzi Vert fans couldn’t be happier. Despite releasing a trailer earlier this week and releasing the track list last night (March 5), the album’s arrival comes as a surprise, as Uzi never gave an official release date. The LP spans 16 tracks, and is feature-less expect for an appearance from the Internet‘s Syd, on “Urgency.” His two latest singles “Futsal Shuffle 2020” and “That Way” are included as Bonus Tracks.
Demi Lovato- “I Love Me (Single)”
Demi Lovato’s new single “I love Me,” is the self love anthem we all need. After staying under the radar following an overdose in 2018, the 26-year-old singer is back and better than ever. She also released a music video to accompany the new single. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year and future holds for Demi.
OnlyJahmez- Disco
Rap Rockstar OnlyJahmez has released his long awaited single “Disco,” along with a lyric video to accompany it. His next single “Diana” is set to release March 13, and his debut album Disco 2020 is set to release later this year.
Rapper and Hip-Hop legend 50 Cent, has announced via his Instagram that he will be executive producing and completing slain rapper Pop Smoke‘s posthumous debut album.
“I’m on the move to listening to Pop Smoke, I decided I’m gonna executive produce and finish his album for him,” he said in his photo caption from March 1.
He later made a series of posts requesting help from famous friends like Roddy Rich, Drake, and Chris Brown. Within minutes Roddy Rich responded that he was on deck to help out.
Pop Smoke, born Bashar Jackson, was shot and killed last month on Feb. 19 at a Los Angeles residence. Before his death, the 20-year-old Brooklyn rapper had released his new project Meet the Woo 2, which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.
50 cent was on of the first celebrities to share their condolences on social media. “No such things as success with out jealousy, treachery comes from those who are close. R.I.P.”
The 20-year-old rapper’s death remains under investigation. Authorities are still trying to figure out whether Pop was a victim of a random robbery, or if the incident was a targeted hit.
A deluxe edition of Mac Miller‘s posthumous album, Circles, will be released this Friday (March 6.) with the addition of two new songs, “Right” and “Floating.” Miller’s family made the announcement yesterday morning (March 2.) in a press release.
The Circles deluxe edition, will be released on CD this Friday, and will be available for streaming on March 20, and a vinyl edition will be available on April 17.
Miller had just released his album Swimming, a month before he died of a fatal over dose in September 2018. At the time of his death, Miller had been working on the album Circles, which served as a companion album to Swimming. The concept behind the two albums was “Swimming in Circles.”
Miller had been working with producer Jon Brion, who decided to finish Circles based on conversations he had with Miller before his death.
In a post on Miller’s instagram in January, his family said, “This is a complicated process that has no right answer. No clear path. We simply know that it was important to Malcolm for the world to hear it. One of the most difficult decisions in the process is how best to let people know about it– how to communicate meaningfully while keeping sacred what should be kept sacred.” This was the first post on Miller’s instagram since his death.
On January 9. his family released a music video for the single “Good News.” The video features archival footage of Miller.
“He (Mac) had this whole aquatic theme that came out of something we’d talked about while working on Swimming,” Brion told The New York Times in an interview. “I’d noticed he mentioned water a few times in the lyrics, and then that grew into all these discussions about water and what it sounds like that became kind of a running joke.”
Brion also revealed that Swimming and Circles were meant to be apart of a trilogy, and explained how they were supposed to roll out. “There were supposed to be three albums: the first, Swimming, was sort of a hybridization of going between hip-hop and song form,” Brion stated. “The second, which he’d already decided would be Circles, would be song-based. And I believe the third one would have been just a pure hip-hop record. I think he wanted to tell people, ‘I still love this, I still do this.'”

Justin Timberlake and SZA just released a song that serves as the first single off the upcoming soundtrack for the Trolls World Tour movie. While that may not seem very hype, the single, “The Other Side,” is actually great.
The track is an up-beat and funky one written by Timberlake, and produced by Ludwig Göransson. Timberlake has written and performed the new music on the soundtrack with appearances from artists such as George Clinton, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige, Anna Kendrick, Anderson .Paak, Haim and more.
The 90s Hip-Hop Hype-Williams inspired video dropped Wednesday and stars JT and SZA. The two sing into a fish-eye lens, while dressed in silver bodysuits in sci-fi industrial rooms, and JT of course performs some of his signature dance moves.
“I was so thrilled to be invited to participate in this project with Justin,” SZA said in a statement. “The Creative Process of working with him and the team was filled with such excitement. It’s an energy you can feel in both the song and music video. I can’t wait for people to check it out.”
Timberlake and Kendrick will reprise their roles, and star in Trolls World Star, which will be out in theaters April 17.
BROCKHAMPTON released a music video for their album Ginger’s single “Sugar” last December. Since it’s release “Sugar” has gone gold and became a dance meme on Tik-Tok.
The video is brilliant, violent and sexually explicit, as it opens up with footage of a couple engaging in intercourse. The couple is then disturbed when an alien shoots the male in the head leaving him dead, and the female screaming. The guys are all dressed in orange jumpsuits, and we see Matt Champion take a trip to hell, and frontman Kevin Abstract covered in green slime.
Yesterday, the boy band released a much more G-Rated and calmer second music video for the single, that is also directed by Abstract. The group and Ryan Beatty perform in a light tan backdrop filled with a few props like a mirror, chair and ladder. The new video, is definitely bland compared to its predecessor, but nonetheless still great.
