[MUSIC] METRO MAKES HIS RETURN WITH NEW #1 ALBUM

[MUSIC] METRO MAKES HIS RETURN WITH NEW #1 ALBUM

If Young Metro don’t trust you imma shot you, its relaxing hearing that again on an opening track.

This must have been a calling from God because were receiving a nice packaged Metro Boomin project this past week. After hinting towards retirement earlier this year we havent heard anything from the zone 6 producer until now. Popping back up on the scene with an 13 track album ” Not ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES”, Metro puts together a star-studded cast with Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Gunna, Swae Lee and many others throughout the album. Metro definitely been brewing this project together for a while because literally every tracks beat is fire and that’s an understatement. Many producers try to release projects of their own or try to team up with artist for joint projects but Metro has the blueprint for it.

This  project will bring fans of all kinds together, not only are artist like 21 Savage, Travis Scott, and Gunna the highlight of the album, but we also get a glimpse of “Slime SeasonThugger on “Up to Something”, and ” Lesbian” (FT. Gunna), like “Barter 6” was fine but nothing is topping Slime Season Thug. Travis Scott and Metro must have a bromance behind the scenes because he is littered thought the project making appearances on 5 tracks, which is why Travis feels overused on ” Overdue“, Travis has been on a run in 2018 proving this is his year without question. 21 Savage makes a couple of appearances though out the album but nothing will top his already famous whispering verse on “Dont Come Out the House“, making fun of various rappers while threatening people as usually. Get high and listen to “Space Cadet”(Ft. Gunna) and you tell me Gunna not primed to not only run the game but have multiple people try to bite his flow. Gunna flow makes any beat sound mesmerizing and you will get caught in his hypnosis. I really hope Swae Lee and Travis arent beefing because their chemistry and vibe on ” Dreamcatcher” makes you yearn for more music from these two. This track is definitely a late night car ride or cyph session kind of music with Swae Lee melodic voice.

Metro made his return and we should be grateful for it and hope he doesn’t take another long hiatus, or maybe we should pray he does again if the results will be like this. Every track goes on this album without question with every kind of vibe being pleased.Metro is the unquestioned #1 producer in the game with only Tay Keith ( who also makes an appearance on the album) coming in a close 2nd, while also primed for his run to start soon. Not much to dislike from this project, amazing replay value and cohesive 5 outta 5 from me.

[MUSIC] I USED TO KNOW HER PART 2 REVIEW

[MUSIC] I USED TO KNOW HER PART 2 REVIEW

This weekend H.E.R released the second part of her ” I Use to Know Her” EP and lets just say whoever hurt H.E.R ( No pun intended) needs to drop their location because I just wanna talk. This heartfelt album is perfect for any girl who feels like she’s having second doubts about her relationship. The 8 track album literally takes you through all the emotions and thoughts you would have during and after a relationship. With most of these tracks being done with H.E.R playing a guitar any musician would be pleased with the production.

Right from the start H.E.R  guards are up telling this certain person to not cross the line and make her fall in love with him if he’s not ready for something real. On the next track “Cant Help Me” H.E.R is apologizing to this important person for not being as transparent with them” Sorry that I’ve been living’ in my head, Holdin’ onto words I anit said yet”. While also telling them she’s losing control mentally and doesn’t want to blame them for her doubts on the relationship “All my problems I tried to put on you/ I can’t blame you for all my doubts”. Look H.E.R I can be your psychiatrist. I know most girls will relate to the track ” I’M Not OK” because every last one of y’all push your man away but be upset and emotional that he’s gone even though you’re the reason why.

Halfway through the album it seems like H.E.R has come to her senses after pushing away her man she realizes its heaven on earth with him on “Take You There”. This sometimes has to happen in order for that doubt to be relived ” Needed to distance myself from you/ Oh, just to know you are the truth/ with you, Heaven is a place on Earth” finally a girl who can admit its her fault the relationship isn’t working. Now this is what I like to hear after pushing her man away H.E.R  is willing to risk it all on ” Hard Place”, this is what some of you females need to do more often. On this track she express how much she’s willing to risk for the relationship ” If I have to choose my heart or you I’m gonna lose” H.E.R is making me shed a tear.

Honestly for a beginning R&B artist H.E.R vocal skills are very vibrant and can put you in a vibe no matter what she’s talking about. The guitar and piano productions only add to her voice, which make the album a heartfelt vibe that most if not all girls will be able to understand on a emotional level. I’m looking forward to hearing more music from her because I’ve been in my feelings since I click play.

[MUSIC] TORY LANEZ “LOVE ME NOW” ALBUM REVIEW

[MUSIC] TORY LANEZ “LOVE ME NOW” ALBUM REVIEW

Purple umbrella season has begun with Tory release of his third studio album ” Love Me Now“, which gives us insight of how tory feels about a certain lady. The album fits into the cuffing season, but there are tracks that you can vibe with during any process of the relationship. This 15 track R’n’B, rap, and trap album is littered with features from Chris Brown, Meek Mill, A boogie, Nav, Lil Baby, Bryson Tiller, Gunna, PnB Rock, and Trey Songz. Tory starts by telling a story of wanting a girl who has zero interest in him until his come up, but Tory on a different kind of time now.

Tory changes from wanting the girl to just hitting it and flexing on her quickly after. With tracks like ” Duck my Ex” (ft Chris Brown), “DrLp Drlp Drip” (ft. Meek Mill), and ” You Thought Wrong”, getting over your ex is going to be easy, especially if you’re going out that night. The mood these songs will have you in will have the pre-game and club flexes looking elite on social media.  Tory Lanez ability to highlight his underdog story will always be his best quality especially if he keeps his arrogance like he did on “MiAMi ( feat. Gunna), and “KJm” which are records for when you riding with the gang.

For people involved in the season of love, keeping that vibe during those car rides or imitate moments you know Lanez comes in clutch. Tracks ” Flexible” ( Ft. Chris Brown & Lil Baby), “S.w.I.n.G (ft. PnB Rock & Trey Songz) will have you and bae ready to flex but also ready to be grown especially with Trey Songz talking like he usually talk. Also ” Keep in Touch” (Ft. Bryson Tiller) which is a banger ( Like they honestly need to do a joint album) is good for those late night car rides to just vibe to. This track is good because you feel not only the vibe between both artist, but there is a balance between them which makes the song great, this song makes telling somebody you miss them a lot easier.

This album does have its highlights but also some lowlights. The few problems with this album start off with how the tracks were placed. Instead of keeping the vibe apparent between wanting to flex on your ex to loving them or missing them it’s like your bounce back and forth between the vibe which throws it off. Then you also throw in tracks like “FeRRis WhEEl” (ft. Trippie Red), and ” The Run oFF” these songs could have been singles or kept off the album especially the Trippie Red track because it doesn’t fit the flow. Nav made “Cut me oFF” more of his song than Tory, especially with his new flow on display. This is a song he could have put towards the end of the album so it fit the mood. Another problem I had was Tory’s voice sounding the same on every track which can get annoying and make the album sound repetitive. This album has its moment but you will get bored if you’re not a Tory fan, most people probably are just going to find the features and that’s it.

This is a good follow-up to his last album ” Memories Dont Die” for the fact that it’s a different vibe and more club banger’s on this one. Tory would have done a good service to the album if he released it during the summer, but I guess him and his R’n’B brother Bryson Tiller had different plans because you know” It’s always summer in Miami” honestly they need to get it together for the culture.

Peso The Misfit Interview

Hey Indo!, the Golden Boy, sat down with Peso the Misfit for an exclusive one-on-one interview about his come up, new music and what he feels he has to offer to the rap game. Check out Pe$o’s music and story here:

How long you don’t know how long you’ve been making music?

Peso the Misfit: Well I’m 21 now. So I started making music when I was 15. I was in a relationship at the time when I was from like 13 to 15; it was a lot going on. I like rap, let me start writing about this shit.

How did you get started?

Peso the Misfit: I bought me a little interface and then from 16 to 18 I practiced my production, mixing, mastering, so that I could do it myself. And then from 18 to now I’ve just been being real solid with everything. So putting out my own music, writing myself, producing most of it myself. All of its getting mixed and master by me. And now I’m handling all the paperwork, [the] copyrights, and legal stuff. I’m trying to do as much as I can, so I’m never in a position where I have to depend on somebody and I get taken advantage of.

Who are some of your musical influences?

The people who I really liked were people like 50 Cent. He was a big influence on me. Nas, Cole, Kendrick, Drake, Mobb Deep. Wu-Tang you know. So I was looking at them, mainly 50 and Cole, and I was like “Alright, I see how they approach their business. So early on I realized from a lot of my other peers, there is more than just making music.

What influenced you to have this business savvy to want to go into it like that?

PTM: Well before even doing music, I used to want to act. More like just do something since I was real young. And my dad has his own business, and he and my mom would always tell me especially, my dad, he’s like whatever you do make sure you’re the boss. You never want to work for another man or another woman. You always want to be in control of you, because you know working for other people you have to do what they say, and come in when they want you to come in. When you are your own boss, you work around your own schedule. So that always like really stuck with me.

You know it’s not just about writing all these bars, making the beat hot, then boom! Put it out then blow. This is business. You’ve got to think about marketing and all that stuff. I used to study a lot of what people did, and the moves they made business wise, watch interviews, and try to pick up on some gems they dropped.

So then I was like “All right, the best thing to do is learning it for myself because the best way to learn something is through experience.” So I figure, it’s better me doing it my own way because all the people I look up to, they did their own way and they on top.

Talk to us now about what you’ve got going on now. You put in all this work. You grinded, you learned all these skills and so that has resulted in what?

PTM: I stopped putting music out a lot like around two years ago. Because I got excited and I had so much shit to write about, I put out like five tapes in one year and then a bunch of singles the next year. I was real excited I was like “Yo I can record myself!” I was going off, and then I realized it’s not just rapping, I need songs.” Then after I’ve got all that out and all the singles I was getting a lot of love. But it’s not what I wanted. You know I realized it was local love and this is cool but I need to attack this in a better way. So I took some time off, got better with my song making ability, got better with writing songs, learning people, seeing what’s out, what’s popping, because I don’t really like the new music.

How do you feel about the current state of hip-hop music?

I don’t really like the new music because like I feel like it doesn’t resonate with me. I like stuff that gets me into it. So I was like you know let me fall back, regroup, and make a plan, a strategy so that once I do attack, you know, it’s just execute. I don’t have to worry about the plan; I just have to execute what I already thought. So I got the songs done. I put myself in a position of money where I could start off, I’ll do what I’m doing, make some connections. My name is out there already. Not big, but like people know who I am.

I got a producer in Nebraska, I got a cameraman from Boston, and I got fans in other states hitting me up all time. They’re always asking “Yo when you dropping something?”. I’m not big but I got love. So now everything’s in place and I got my strategy done. Now I’m putting out my first official single when everything else was just on Youtube.

INDO: But you can’t make no money off that

PTM: Exactly, and not everybody want to go on Soundcloud all the time. So now, I got my first official single everywhere.

INDO: What’s it called?

PTM: “New tone”. The song and the video are already out; I’m getting love from it. People really love it and I got everything else lined up. I got a 30 clip of just singles ready to go, and I’m working on two to three projects. Now I’m just about to get the videos done and then I’m pushing that out.

Where can people find the new single?

PTM: It’s on Apple Music, Itunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, Youtube, Tidal, Napster, haha if n***as still use that

INDO: (laughing) On everything, haha that shit is out

So what’s next for Pe$o the Misfit?

PTM: I got the singles for the music done. So I just got to make sure everything is set and just stay consistent with it. And that’s where I’m at right now. I think I’m heading in the right direction.

If you could tell the people that support you one thing, what would it be?

PTM: I would say the number one thing that I would want you to get from me is, “Learn to appreciate”. You know, when you appreciate stuff, especially life, everything expands. Your value and happiness will grow. The opportunities will grow when we appreciate things. So, you appreciate life because there’s a lot going on, especially with mental health nowadays. It’s always been an issue, but it’s a lot bigger now.  So when you appreciate people and appreciate life, you’ll treat people better.

So I deliver pizza, I worked for my dad and he does construction and recycling. A lot of times I clean out houses, like garbage and stuff.  We do s**t that people don’t even want to get paid to do you.

So I was doing that and delivering pizzas, and going to college. I took a semester off for financial reasons and for my music career. I’m like damn yo, I just want to make music. All this is taking away time. But then at the same time, I had to take a step back and be like, you know this is what life is. I can’t complain because I got to live through this. I got to learn how to say I appreciate the fact; I have a job that is giving me money, to support my music. Also it’s giving me experiences to talk about in my music, and that influences my artistry. So it was a whole new level, even though I know this is not what I want to be doing. I know it’s not permanent, it’s temporary, so I’ll appreciate it while I have it because I’m going to look back later, when I make it and be like damn, I used to deliver pizza.

INDO: It made you stronger, that’s deep bro, that’s deep…Well you know I want to thank you for coming through and sitting down with me. I learned a lot about you in this little about of time. It was dope bro dope but if it’s anything that you want to leave the people at home, you know, I know we just talked about appreciation and definitely staying consistent stuff. But if it’s anything that you want them to know about Pe$o the Misfit, now’s the time you know

PTM: I’d say they should definitely follow me on IG and Twitter. @pesothemisfit. From there y’all can find my soundcloud, but I’ll give it to you anyway, Pe$o The Misfit. I got a lot coming out, I’m really excited. This first song I just put out is only the beginning. I got a lot of other music on Soundcloud and Youtube. This music will help you, it’ll touch you. It will help you get through stuff. Be on the lookout, follow me and just remember the name.

[Music] Guess Who’s Back? MARIO

[Music] Guess Who’s Back? MARIO

SiriusXM NYC

10 Years out the game Mario is back for the fame!

On October 5th he released “Dancing Shadows” , making this his first album in 10 years.

He recently made a peek a boo cover “Girl Like You” over Meek Mills “Dangerous” beat.

This album is a combination of who he use to be and who he is now.

He recently discussed this in his radio interview on SiriusXM.

He also mentioned that a “Dancing Shadows” Tour can be in the works, so we will stay tuned for more information on that.

Mario gave the audience details on his upcoming role on the hit show “Empire”.

His role as a young kid who cares for his sick sister, and music happens to save them both.

Playing in this role he experienced the true meaning to rebuild something that was once so strong.

One of the songs from the album, “Drowning” has a twisted meaning behind it.

Mario seems to be involved intimately with another woman, while he is still thinking/in love with someone else.

The video has just over 3 Million views on YouTube.

Being one of the first singles from the album it gave us the satisfaction that we oh so needed.

This was a small peek at what’s to come.  DANCING SHADOWS.

This project was something that he needed to work on after losing his mom.

Of course this was a sensitive topic to discuss, but he did mention that he let his emotions flow through his music.

He has proved that you can come back and overcome just about any and everything, to do what you love.

We don’t want to classify him as a new and improved artist, lets just say he’s back to finish what he started.

Welcome Back Mario!

Sincerely A 90’s Baby

“Drowning” is my favorite song on the album.

This was the first song that gave me goose bumps.

Mario has extended his vocal range and matured amazingly.

This album represents the work that he will continue to deliver for years to come.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE ALBUM UPDATES.
