Logic, the famous “1-800-273-8255” rapper just released his new single, “44 More” on February 22nd, 2018. He had a lot of pressure on himself to produce the next big hit since “1-800-273-8255” was one of the biggest songs of 2017. He was nominated for a Grammy and his new song “44 More” shows that he will be returning to the Grammys in 2018.
“I done made 20 million dollars (preach)
I don’t flex to be acknowledged (preach)
At this point it’s common knowledge (preach)
All you haters been abolished (preach)
You in the club throwin’ dollars, but I’m savin’ mine so my kids go to college (preach)”
Side note, Is it just me or does Logic sound like Lil Dicky? I hear similar rap styles and I feel like they almost have the same voice. Well, Logic definitely has more talent.
I am so happy that Logic has a bigger fanbase now to release songs like this. This is almost as good as his latest hit. It was hard to live up to that hype, but Logic pulled it off.
Post Malone just released a new single off his Beerbongs & Bentleys album that is due out this year. He released “Psycho” on February 22nd, featuring Ty Dolla $ign. The release of this single shows that the release date for the album isn’t that far away.
Check out the single here:
I love the animation that this video has. The angry dog at the construction site really sets up the tone for this song of chaos and slight fear. This song is definitely more chill than his other ones. It is not a huge banger like “Rockstar” was, but it is good and entertaining to listen to. It’s a good song to listen to when you’re driving but I wouldn’t want to put it on at a huge party. There are some cliches in the song like the lyrics, “can’t really trust nobody” that appears frequently in the chorus. The theme of rappers not trusting anyone is so played out that I didn’t really think this song added to Post’s discography. Despite that, I do like the contribution that Ty Dolla $ign brings to the song.
Maybe it’s one of those songs you have to listen to a few times before you get into it. I’m excited about this new album, but hopefully, this isn’t the best of the best.
New York City rapper Tekashi 6IX9INE‘s new debut album release was all the hype just a week ago. Numerous fans were souped to hear it, but now that it’s out, everyone seems to have changed their minds. Although 6IX9INE is known for dropping hits, he let everyone down this time. Lol besides his hit singles that were already out, (that fans seem to love) the entire remainder of his Day69 album was trash.
Lil Yachty really showed up on the scene with his release of Lil Boat in 2016. It propelled him to stardom and put out a few other projects within that time.
The Lil Boat cover art shows a picture of a man sailing away on a small boat, while in Lil Boat 2′s cover art it shows him in the water fully embracing it. It seems like he doesn’t need a boat anymore when he is not afraid to sink. I feel like this is foreshadowing the content that is going to be on the album and I’m excited. He may be playing with a lot more darker themes.
In this album, he hinted at having collaborations with Glacier Boyz, Gucci Mane, and Migos. Based on the features and the cover art, I think this is going to be one of his best works.
