G Herbo and Blac Youngsta drop off a new song titled “All Day” from Humble Beast’s deluxe edition. This record’s another one of those spark up and chill type of joints. He raps of all the triumphs he’s been through, and what it took to be in the position he’s in right now, and that might be the best thing we like about him. Only true Lil Herb fans know what’s up. Listen to it below.
I wonder what happened behind the scenes for her to make such a public call out. The record company probably didn’t want to put out her music that was so creativity different, but that is her thing. I don’t understand why they would trash her songs when her music is always primarily good and substantial. Was it too weird even for Grimes?
I’m really hoping that Grimes is just being dramatic and we don’t have to wait too long for her new music. But it is always really upsetting when your projects get pushed back. I hope she is still set to release the album in 2018, even if it takes a little bit longer.
It also had me thinking, what would I do if I randomly saw Drake on the street and he gave me a huge stack of money? I would probably have to apologize for my bad review of his song. You can read here.
Also, I don’t think Drake’s dance moves are going to get better anytime soon. He is shown given his classic, “Hotline Bling” swag at the beginning of the video.
Despite my criticism, Drake really took the hype from this song and made it into a message. He could have done a simple rap video with a girl that he likes, but instead, he wanted to top himself.
Although the video didn’t exactly match the song, since its main theme is about brushing off the haters, it did send a message out to the world. It’s videos like this that actually inspire change. In a time of such distress, we needed someone to remind us of our own humanity. I commend you Drake, you might be getting on my good side.
Saturday Night Live has been the home of many great performances. Some of the most popular artists in the music industry get to share the stage with brilliant comedians and actors. Even though SNL might not have the same charm that it did a few years ago, one cannot forget the legacy this show left on the world.
Here are the best performances that the SNL stage has hosted:
In this performance, Kanye gives it his all combining rap with a gothic style. Off of his Yeezus album, he shows us why is one of the greatest rappers in the game.
Sia had an amazing performance which brought her music video to the stage. She nailed it and made the audience truly become entranced with her vision for this song.
This performance showed that Miley Cyrus was extremely versatile and she wasn’t just her “Wrecking Ball” image. She has a great vocal range and showed it off. She is going to go down in history books.
At a time of great loss for America, R.E.M. managed to produce a happy song that made everyone forget about their troubles. The performance was a fun one.
Elvis Costello sent a huge “screw you” to his record company by performing a single that they didn’t want him to play. This act of rebellion truly sent him to the top of the list.
What are your favorite performances? Do you agree with my list?
I’m happy Kevin Gates is back. I expect him to pick up where he left off and give us great tracks to fall in love with. He might not have two phones after his time in jail, but I’m sure he’s going to give us all a wake up call.
Justin Bieber is a celebrity who certainly has a huge ego. Not only does he have a DUI, he is known to have public outbursts that really contradict his stage performance of someone who is a loving guy who wants to treat his girlfriend right. The “Baby” singer is not afraid of being a complete asshole due to his money and fame. But his fans are still strong and are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on tickets. His music is still pretty good so I wouldn’t mind buying a ticket to see him, especially since Post Malone was his opening act for his Purpose tour.
If Justin continues to treat his fans like this, they are going to start falling off. People can only tolerate an asshole for so long. It might be too late to say sorry.
