It’s Valentine’s Day which means everyone is either buying last second chocolates and love cards or they are getting drunk at a bar. Whatever your situation is, everyone knows how much singers love to write about love. Love is an emotion that is all encompassing and is one of the most powerful feelings that humans can experience. All this passion can drive artists to make incredible songs about love and love lost.
Here is some of my favorite tracks about love and heart break:
A couple hours ago, G Herbo previewed a clip of his “Everything” remix featuring Chance the Rapper and Lil Uzi Vert. The soon-to-be dad announced that he will be dropping a deluxe version of Humble Beast this Friday on the 16th. Check this sneak peek of it below.
New York’s A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Chicago’s Tee Grizzley joined forces on a new banger for us young legends out here. They’re new song “Became Legends” got me out here making moves. If you not a winner, get off my post because you can’t listen to this. This one is for us legends ONLY yah heard!
When I heard this came out and I first listened to it, I felt like I’ve already heard this record before! Seeing Lil Wayne and Jeremiah on a track together excited me. You can’t say that they’re not a bomb duo. Look at their record “All The Time”. That’s a hit song right there. This new collaboration with Veronica Vega can’t even hold a candle to it. The guys linked up with her on her new track “Wave” which just dropped. Even though I’m not a fan of it, I already know that someone out there will and you might too.
Listen to “Wave” below. If this song sounds a bit familiar and played out to you as well, LET ME KNOW.
Atlanta’s producer-turned-artist Sonny Digital unleashed a new video for his song “Keep It Real.” Watch the video below and afterwards check out his previous release.
Even though I have no idea what Westworld is, I did notice something about the background music. My ears shot up and were sent back to 2010 to Kanye West’s release of “Runaway.” Not only was this song one of his most emotional releases, it was also phenomenally produced.
Runaway makes you feel a longing for yesterday which produces intense emotions of disconnected sadness. It is a tribute to all the “assholes” who only have a hard exterior to cover up the insecurities they have within them. Taking that concept and putting it into a song perfectly showed Kanye’s talent as an artist. So much so that it is still getting remixed eight years later.
He really made the song much more stripped down. It sounds like a true classical piece. Overall this cover reminded me of one of the best song’s Kanye has ever put out and I will always love hearing news like this.
