For the final show of his tour, Paul McCartney brought legendary ex-band-mate Ringo Starr at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles. After Ringo joined Paul on stage, the two can be seen hugging and mouthing the words “I Love you man” to each other.
The two performed extended version of two Beatles classics: “Helter Skelter” and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. After their final song together, Ringo threw his drum sticks out into the crowd.
As mentioned, this gig was the last show in Paul McCartney’s North America Tour. But if you missed it, have no worries. After playing The End with Eagles’ guitarist Joe Walsh, Paul said “Farewell to you guys. Farewell to America. Only one thing left to be said: we’ll see you next time.”
Jaden Smith had his 21st birthday over the weekend, and it was hosted by his equally famous father, Will. Will seemed to be even more excited than his son, and got wasted and offered Jaden some advice.
Will said that Jaden’s success had more to do with his mother than himself. “Most of the decisions that developed you were your mother. ‘Cause I was at work! I wasn’t home,” Smith joked. “Your mother did most of the work! I’m not goin’ front!”
Will offered other key insights on life for Jaden by giving some tips on how to avoid jail time.
“So I’m going to tell you something my father told me on my 21st birthday. “Never break two laws at one time. Because you increase your chances exponentially of getting caught for both,” Will Smith said.
After the little bit of cringiness ended, Will expressed how proud he is of his son. “I’m really proud of you,” Smith explained. “Just the way you’ve grown in the last few years is what parents hope for. You take it seriously to contribute to the human family. You just make us proud every single day.”
A$AP Ferg has just released a new single with MadeinTYO called “Wam”. Though he hasn’t released any new projects this, Ferg has been busy, featuring on City Girls “Wigs” and releasing “Pups” featuring A$AP Rocky.
“Wam” has a heavy bass with both Ferg and MadeinTYO trading bars. There is a nice contrast between the two, with MadeinTYO serving catchier lines and Ferg delivering hard rhymes.
The song is also featured in Revlon’s new Step Out of Line campaign video, with atmospheric synths giving the song a whole new feel. “I love any opportunity to celebrate women which is exactly what I get to do with Revlon’s Step Out of Line campaign,” Ferg explained. “We share a vision, I’m not afraid to live boldly and Revlon encourages women to do the same.”
This is a great song from the two rappers and I’m looking forward to more material like this from them.
One of the best players of the USA Women’s National Team, Megan Rapinoe, won the World Cup awards of best player and top goalscorer. In an Instagram post holding trophies, Rapinoe quoted Nipsey Hussle’s “Hussle & Motivate”.
“Ain’t really trip on the credit, I just paid all of my dues. I just respected the game, now my name all in the news,” she wrote on Instagram along with a photo of her holding the Golden Ball and Boot statues. “Trippin’ on all of my moves, quote me on this, got a lot more to prove.”
As a fairly old player at this point in her career, many might expect that this it for her, but she’s making it clear that she’ll try to be back, since she has a lot to prove.
Rapinoe is a legend and it’s nice to see her pay homage to another legend.
