After the BET. Awards reportedly received the lowest ratings in its history, Nicki Minaj made sure to run it in. While posting a link to the supposed low viewership numbers, she tweeted: “”When u go out of ur way to b spiteful & hurt artists who have always supported ur show. When you fire great ppl who have put their heart & soul into the show… when you’d rather be a messy reality show than a prestigious award show… when ur still being dragged by that lace.”
Nicki’s beef with BET started after the official BET website posted an article about Cardi B being the first female rapper to win Rap Album of the Year at the Grammys. The post included a shot at Nicki saying, “Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront.”
Both Nicki and Lil Wayne chose not to perform at the 2019 BET Experience concert that happened before the awards show.
Ty Dolla $ign got arrested last summer because after smelling marijuana coming from Ty Dolla $ign’s car, the police searched the car and found drugs. He was charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor charge. However Ty Dolla $ign’s lawyer, Steven Shadow, made a deal with prosecutors that if Ty stayed sober and completed a drug intervention program, the charges would be expunged from his record.
The rapper has fulfilled his side of the bargain and his record is clean of the felonies from last year.
Common will perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for one night only. On June 29th, the show will be at Cadence Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park, with Common performing selections from his newest album Let Love Have the Last Word, and some of his greatest hits.

This past Sunday, Nipsey Hussle was posthumously honored with the Humanitarian Award at 2019’s BET Awards.
T.I. had a few words to say about Hussle and his impact: “”There will never be another Nipsey Hussle,” he said. “He was a revolutionary. His emphasis on the power of equity and ownership of our art led the charge of independence and created a blueprint for other kind of artists today to follow…He inspired people across the world while never abandoning the community and culture that raised him. it’s been nearly three months since we lost Nip and many are still discovering how legendary he really was.”
Nipsey worked hard to make the world a better place, investing in business in poor areas, and fighting for equality nationwide. He created “Destination Crenshaw”, which was a public art experience in the Hyde Park neighborhood. He also started “Too Big to Fail”, which would create STEM learning centers for local young students.
Executive vice president of BET said in a lengthy press release, “”There will never be another Nipsey Hussle. He was a revolutionary. We are forever grateful, humbled and honored to have experienced his presence and we are invested in doing our part to ensure that the marathon will indeed continue. It is an immense honor for us to recognize him with this year’s Humanitarian Award.”
According to The Shade Room, Fetty Wap is under investigation for assaulting a woman, and leaving her with bruises and scratches.
TSR is referencing data from TMZ that says that officials have started and investigation of the rapper as a ‘battery suspect’.
The Shade Room writes, ‘‘We spoke to the woman, and she alleges she was with Fetty at his home when he brought more girls back. She then claims that Fetty flipped out after she made a comment about the girls being ugly. She’s accusing Fetty of choking and hitting her.’
There is a video on TSR’s Instagram pages that shows a woman holding the camera egging on Fetty to hit her again, and he does at the end of the video. Some of the comments on the video were very strict about what appears to be Fetty abusing the woman, but others point out that she had it coming.
Today, South Korean band BTS released a third single for their upcoming video game soundtrack, “BTS World”. This time however, the song features Juice WRLD.
It is called “All Night”, and has a laid-back, chill vibe. With a prominent synth-pop atmosphere, the song has Juice rapping the verses and has him, and RM and SUGA of BTS joining in on the chorus.
