After the tragic, untimely death of rapper Nipsey Hussle, fans gathered outside his LA store last night to pay respects at a vigil in his memory. In a night that should have been a quiet, safe affair, things turned ugly as a stampede of people rushed into the street causing mass chaos.
Veronica Miracle of ABC 7, has a twitter thread that covers the events of the night as they unspooled. She reported that fans started to rush into the street because they thought they had heard a loud bang, assuming they were gunshots, they began to stampede. The LAPD clarified that the reports of gunshots were in fact, false.
As a result of the incident, multiple people were injured, with some being left bloodied in the street. At least one person was struck by a car and resulted in people to lose their shoes and other possessions amongst the bedlam.
It’s incredibly unfortunate that this happened last night, especially after seeing such a positive outpour of support from fans and colleagues of Nipsey. Hopefully something more organized and safe can take place sometime down the road because Nipsey’s legacy deserves to be remembered and it deserves to be remembered with respect.

The Jay-Z sponsored Made In America Festival announced their lineup for this year with Travis Scott and Cardi B headlining. The two day festival is scheduled for August 31 & September 1. Other notable performers for the Philly festival include Juice Wrld, James Blake, Anderson .Paak, Kodak Black, and Blueface.
The annual Labor Day festival is one of the biggest concert events of the year alongside Coachella, and Governors Ball. Headliner, Travis Scott has been on his Astroworld tour since last November and continues to roll through his shows into the summer.
Other headliner, Cardi B ran into some controversy last week, in which an old video resurfaced where she says that she would drug and rob men in order to survive. The comments drew negative criticism from fans on social media, causing the Bronx rapper to issue an apology on social media. Clearly the controversy has not been an issue with her future tour plans and will be there for the festival.
Tickets go on sale exclusively for Tidal users today, and sometime in the future for the general public, so stay tuned for more updates.

The “Free Uzi” movement is picking up more and more steam as the days go on. Two new tracks leaked on Soundcloud today, with one of them already being removed. For now we still have the one posted above titled “That’s A Rack.”
Uzi has been engaged in a contract dispute with his record label, Generation Now. The dispute has led to a massive delay of his sophomore album “Eternal Atake.” Roc Nation has swooped in to support Uzi and have taken him on as a managerial client. The Philly rapper is looking to rework his contract to have a more favorable deal all around.
Anyway, check out this new track from Uzi and let us know what you think. We’ll provide updates if the removed leak gets reposted, but for now enjoy the one linked above.

After a long legal battle between Lil Uzi and his old record label Generation Now, it appears that Jay-Z and Roc Nation have helped settle the problem. A new track titled ‘Free Uzi’ has popped up on both Tidal and Soundcloud, marking the triumphant return for the Philadelphia rapper.
Uzi has been sitting on his new album ‘Eternal Atake’ and now that he is officially signed with Roc Nation, this thing should be right on the horizon. Uzi has been outward in his frustrations with his old label, constantly posting on his IG story taking shots at DJ Drama and others.
Uzi’s situation is very similar to the conflict Lil Wayne had, back when he had disputes with Birdman and Cash Money over the release of The Carter V. Jay-Z also helped settle that dispute as well, proving to be a guardian angel to the music community.
Anyway, Uzi is back and his first track is out. Give it a listen and let us know what you think. Leave a comment below and discuss, also follow us on social media @SloppyVinyl to stay posted on all our content.
Denzel Curry dropped a new video for ‘BLACK BALLOONS’ a song off his last record ‘TA13OO.’ The production value on this video is really good. The video jumps through multiple settings, including a pretty dope animation sequence that’s a throwback to old fashioned black and white cartoons.
There also some heavy handed commentary on record labels, and how some artists sign away their vision for the sake of the bag. The track itself is smooth as hell too. ‘TA1300’ was one of the best albums from last year and hopefully we get more from Curry at some point in 2019.
