Mac DeMarco has announced his new album “Here Comes The Cowboy” will be released May 10. Along with the announcement of the record, DeMarco dropped a new single titled “Nobody.” The single comes along with a video with Mac donning a cowboy hat, accompanied with full lizard makeup. Truly bizzare, but uniquely DeMarco.
It was announced yesterday that DeMarco would be a part of Pharrell’s new Virginia Beach music festival “Something In The Water.” He’ll be joined by some other big names like Travis Scott, Pusha T, and Migos.
Twitter took issue with DeMarco’s announcement today, accusing the 28-year old Canuck of stealing the title and track name from Mitski. Last August, Mitski released her album “Be The Cowboy” which also featured a track titled “Nobody.” While Twitter fumed over the similarities beteween the two, Mitski cleared the air and showed admiration for DeMarco with a tweet and Instagram post.
DeMarco is set to kick off his tour in April, starting in Coachella running all the way until October. DeMarco will also be dropping in on some tour dates with hip-hop artist Anderson .Paak.

Pharrell Williams posted a video late last night teasing a new music festival. Today, he released the official poster for “Something In The Water,” a concert festival coming this April.
The festival will be held in Virginia Beach, Pharrell’s hometown, and will give locals a chance to go to a big time festival. The inaugural shows will feature mainstream acts like Migos, Missy Elliott, Pusha T, SZA, Lil Uzi, and Travis Scott. Pharrell will also be performing with a collection of guests, one would assume that N.E.R.D. will be making an appearance, but we shall see. The shows will also mix in some more mellow indie pop/rock artists like Maggie Rogers, Mac DeMarco, and Dave Matthews Band.
It’s nice to see Pharrell organizing a festival for his hometown and share the stage with some of the hottest artists in the world for his people. Hopefully, this isn’t another Fyre fest type scenario where it’s all a scam, but I will trust Pharrell more than I would trust Ja Rule. The festival will run for three days: April 26, 27, and 28. Tickets will go on sale Friday.

The new Lil Peep documentary “Everybody’s Everything” is set to premiere at South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas this March.
The documentary was directed by Sebastian Ryan and Ramez Silyan. Acclaimed film director Terrance Malik is an executive producer on the project and it will be shown on three different dates during the run of the festival: March 10, 12, and 14.
The late rapper was one of the most unique artists making music, blending genres like emo rap and punk rock. His sound was taking music into a brand new direction, his voice was completely his own. It’s rare to have an artist be so innovative with his or her music, and to die so young without seeing out what could have been. This documentary will get to explore the world that surrounded Lil Peep, and hopefully give us more understanding and closure of who he was.

Melii and A Boogie release the music video for “HML”, which is a love story straight out of the Bronx Tales. This video is a whole vibe, and it seems like Interscope may have a new female star on their hands. Check out the video down below.
Cardi B and Bruno Mars shared ”Please Me” music video this morning and I can’t stop screaming.
The Duo posted the news on social media with a retro-inspired visual. Cardi B released the song back on February 15, 2019. The video begins when both artists meet at a taco restaurant surrounded by their friends. Once they make their way to one another, the tune quickly begins. ”A few loaded glances between the two artists get the festivities underway as Cardi and Mars lead the group through some intricate, potentially health code-violating choreography” (Rolling Stone, 2019).

Solange made a surprise visit on social media today after hiatus. Which made many people wonder if some new music was on the way, while she surprises with a 19 track album “When I Get Home”. It doesn’t feature anybody but I’m sure it’s a major vibe. You can stream the album on all major platforms.
