The Travis Scott effect is still the wave for many artist looking for a club record. This track has Travis written all over it from production, flow and hook. Juicy J still lets us know that this is his record by coming in at the end riding the beat as you expect from a vet. The vet starts his verse with saying fuck drugs ” Niggas keep dyin, fuck Xanax” then proceed to flex on niggas “I anit even gotta rap nigga im set, Jet to a check”. This is a solid track for both parties and you should be hearing it in a club near you soon.

[MUSIC] WHO HAD THE BEST COLLAB ALBUM IN THE PAST YEAR

[MUSIC] WHO HAD THE BEST COLLAB ALBUM IN THE PAST YEAR

The past year and a half collab projects have been kinda trendy whether its two famous artist working together or an artist and a producer working together. Some have done amazing while others have flopped. This got me thinking which collab would take it all in a tourmant? Between Future and Young Thug ” Super Slimey”, Travis Scott and Quavo ” Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho”, Kanye West and Kid Cudi ” Kids See Ghosts”, 21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin ” Without Warning”, with several others that I will touch upon in other post.

All of these collab albums were met with positive and negative reviews. Future and Young Thug surprise album was want many people wanted but this album is not what we asked for. On ” Super Slimey” Future and Thug coexistent on it but they aren’t at their peak.  This album was a syrupy Auto-tune, expensive timepieces, and double cups talk. To me after a while it started to sound like they put very little work in making it.

Travis Scott & Quavo probably had the best album, but it wasnt the best they could do. This album is what you expect from two of the most influencing artist in the game right now. The beats were amazing the ad-lib slapped on every track and thee flows were amazing. But the lyrics left a lot to be desired and many times it felt like Travis was taking a backseat to Quavo whether that was planned or not remains to be the question. In all it was a decent collab album but it could have been way better.

Without Warning is a Zone 6 album for sure. The dark nature with 21 savage rapping about guns and having people mommy crying to Offset telling people he the boogie man in real life, kinda lets you in on what the trenches out there are like. But they did give us the Ric Flair drip we all desperately needed. This album has very little replay value but it was good for the moment.

Now “Kids see Ghost” is the album most of need because who doesn’t relive a little bit of stress when they hear Kid Cudi humming. The album kinda brought Kid Cudi back onto the scene and with Ye producing it was a match made in heaven. The bars slapped, the beats slapped, the flow slaps, but the only problem is, it’s a mood album. That means you have to be in certain kind of mood aka( depressed or anxiety going crazy) for you to really be in tune with the vibe. This album has replay value but you can’t listen to it everyday, unless your life is a wreck.

Theres many collab albums that i havent touched upon and many coming out this year that we are excited for. But in all the recent and most notable ones leave a lot to be desired. Let me know your thoughts on these albums, which ones your enticed to see happening and which ones you want to happen.

{MUSIC} C5 AND THE LIGHTER COME ALIVE

Good artist come around every few years, but Goat status artist are once in a generation and even they have an expiration date. Wayne has shown that he is the exception to that rule after listening to Carter 5.

This is the album we needed not because it’s the first Wayne album in years, not because of the legal battle over the album, but because it’s the album that bridges old heads and new heads together. Wayne does an amazing job of giving everybody what they want from lyrics, flow, beats, and features which include the late XXXTentacion, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Sosamann, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Ashanti, and his very own daughter Reginae Carter. The album is laced with 23 tracks but you don’t realize it’s that long because the vet knows how to make the album flow. The Carter 5 is pleasing to ears of every age.

Old heads if you looking for bars and story telling at its finest listen to tracks ” Cant Be Broken“, “Mona Lisa“( which has two goats going back and forth), “Open Letter” and “Dope N****z” and that’s not even the half for you old heads. Now the new age hip-hop heads he got tracks for you guys too. X fans can bump ” Dont Cry” if they wanna hear some good harmonize. La flame fans can bump to “Let It Fly“, Barb’s can listen to ” Dark Side Of The Moon” that gives you singing Nicki and Wayne. Even his daughter held her own on her track “Famous” flexing her vocal skills. Swizz Beats even comes through to get my New York people shoulders moving with the ” Uproar” track. Wayne did exactly what he was supposed to do, show us why he is the goat and should always be respected and never questioned.

In all this definitely has to in contention for album of the year. You get old Wayne and new Wayne battling it out with some new school flows and people. Wayne is a top 10 rapper of all time and that’s no cap. Not many rappers can go through what he’s been through, take a hiatus like he did and still deliver the project he did. Wayne has single-handedly connected old and new school hip-hop without destroying his integrity. Please raise your lighter and flick them one time for Mr. Carter and Carter 5.

[MUSIC] [ENTERTAINMENT] ELLA DID NOT DO IT!

[MUSIC] [ENTERTAINMENT] ELLA DID NOT DO IT!

I am sure you have all probably heard Jacquees ‘Trip’ remix, which he is calling a ‘Quemix’, and if you haven’t you’ve missed out on a great song that puts you even more in your feels than Ella Mai’s original version.

The re-make was so popular it received more attention than Mai’s official song. Unfortunately, Jacquees was sent a cease and desist letter for the remix due to its outperformance and he has since been forced to remove the song off of both YouTube and SoundCloud. The singer shared the news on twitter after reposting an article about how he must remove the song from his social media platforms. The singer then proceeded to quote tweet the article with a number of teary eyed emojis to portray how sad he is about the removal.

There have been several rumors regarding whether or not Jacquee’s has been making profit off of the remix and if Ella Mai is the one who personally sent the letter of cease and desist to the fellow artist. The rumors though were soon dispelled after two social media altercations occurred putting all the rumors to rest.  The first one being when T-Pain suggested that the young artist might have been looking to make a quick bag off of Mai’s song, Que swiftly responded stating “N*gga no I didn’t lol hell you talm bout my brother I put it on SoundCloud and YouTube you know my game ain’t cap I love Ella”.  DJ Mustard also commented on the altercation in order to defend his artist, stating ” I’m just tired of people picking on Ella”.  Mustard posted a picture on his Instagram starting off by saying “Our artists don’t send cease and desists, we do”.  See below for the full post.

So there you have it folks, Ella was not the one who forced her friend to take his ‘Quemix’ down. Jacquee’s team has sent a statement to billboard expressing that there is no bad blood between the two artist and they even see a collaboration for the two in the near future.  I am sure that collaboration will be fire! Comment down below if that’s a collaboration that will make it on to your playlist or not.
