CARDI B MAKES NICKI MINAJ CRY

Nicki Minaj sat down with Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio to talk about her social media hiatus, Drake and Meek Mill, and premiered two new singles, “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li.”

In the interview, she addressed the controversy between her and Cardi b. Nicki denied feuding with Cardi B after the release of their Migos collaboration, “MotorSport” but she was hurt by the fallout.

Check out the interview here:

Nicki stated,

“When I first came in the game, if a female of [my] stature had done a feature with me on it, I would only be singing their praises and saying thank you. The first interview [Cardi] did after ‘MotorSport’ came out, it just really hurt me, because she looked so aggravated and angry, and the only thing she kept saying was, ‘I didn’t hear that, she changed her verse.'”

She says a scheduling conflict prevented Minaj from coming to the video shoot and Nicki Minaj almost never goes to the video shoots because of their busy schedule. Then apparently Cardi said that Nicki changed the verse to make her look bad. Then Nicki tried to apologize, no one backed her up and the press tried to sway the public into thinking that Nicki was being extremely shady. Nicki was just trying to do Cardi a favor and it blew up in her face. Everyone thought that Nicki lied to them.

Nicki then Tweeted out this addressing it publically:

She is shown tearing up a little in the video, which makes us all feel bad for Nicki. Honestly, I don’t know why Cardi b wouldn’t give Nicki props. Nicki has been dominating the music scene for eight years and yes, so many other people would die to be on a track with Nicki Minaj.

I’m a bigger Nicki fan than a Cardi fan so these two better apologize to each other before it blows up. Could you imagine a world without a Cardi and Nicki collaboration?

Hopefully, the song was worth it:

[MY TOP PICKS] FRIDAY THE 13TH PLAYLIST

What better way to celebrate Friday the 13th other than listening to your most haunting and chilling tracks. Friday the 13th might be full of bad luck but this playlist certainly isn’t.

Feeling like October in April, the chilling energy is in the air. The spirits have finally woken up and demand to be heard. Even though it is the hottest day in the past few months, that isn’t going to stop bad luck from occurring.

“The Phantom of The Opera:”

“Sober” by Tool:

[NEW MUSIC] YOUNG THUG RELEASES NEW EP WITH NICKI, UZI & 21 SAVAGE

Young Thug- one of the pioneers of mumble rap just released new music. Young Thug has dropped his new EP, titled Hear No Evil.

The songs include multiple features by Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, and Lil Uzi Vert. With some of the most powerful rappers in the game, the EP is going to kill us all.

He has also shared a sign language video for the Nicki collab “Anybody.”

Check out “Anybody” here:

My favorite part of this song is the combination of the word, “morning” and “moaning.” Young Thug has always been known to be one of the more creative acts in rap. Nicki’s verse also adds a lot to this song. It is a different flow for Young Thug that works and creates variety on this short EP.

Check out “Up” featuring Lil Uzi Vert:

Check out “Now” featuring 21 Savage:

Even though they are not the greatest songs he has ever released, they are pretty strong tracks. Thank you Young Thug for making our Friday the 13th a little less unlucky.

NICKI MINAJ JUST DROPPED THE BEST SONG OF HER ENTIRE CAREER

Nicki Minaj has been on a hiatus for about three years now and she is finally waking up. Just a week after Cardi B’s debut album, Nicki Minaj slapped us in the face and showed us who really is the queen of rap. Nicki seems to be gaining inspiration from the new females in rap and she has stepped up her game. For a long time Nicki’s verses felt uninspiring and overdone, but on these new tracks, she experiments with new flows and personas.

This Thursday, April 12th, 2018 she dropped two new singles, “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz.”

Listen to “Chun-Li” here:

Listen to “Barbie Tingz” here:

Currently, fans are in a war about what is the best song but I think I am going to have to give it to “Chun-Li.” Not only are the lyrics amazing in this song, the flow and general feeling of this song are different for Minaj. I thought Roman was going to make an appearance on the track but it feels like she is doing a toned down version of him. She is definitely channeling a personality that is mad and wants vengeance- but is also above it.

The chorus is where the song really shines:

“Ayo, I been on, bitch, you been conned
Bentley tints on, Fendi prints on
I mean I been Storm, X-Men been formed
He keep on dialin’ Nicki like the Prince song
I-I-I been on, bitch, you been conned
Bentley tints on, Fendi prints on
Ayo, I been off, Lara been Croft
Plates say Chun-Li, drop the Benz off”

“Barbie Tingz” is also a really strong track that pokes fun at the new rappers in the game by stating that Nicki, Drake, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z were the original top three trendsetters. Is this a diss track for Cardi b and the Migos? Anyway, Cardi and Nicki have been in some drama lately due to a miscommunication on Nicki’s video and verse for their collaboration, “MotorSport.” I wouldn’t want to mess with Nicki because now you know she will drop one of the best songs in her career a week after your debut album release.

As she raps in the interlude,

“Oh, I get it, they paintin’ me out to be the bad guy
Well when’s the last time you see a bad guy do the rap game like me?”

ON THIS DATE IN HIP HOP HISTORY [APRIL 12TH]

Today was a relatively slow day in hip hop history, so I’m gonna dig real deep to bring y’all some knowledge. Let me bring it back to 1960 and the third annual Grammy Awards. The legendary Ray Charles took home four Grammy’s that night. Two of them were for his work on the classic “Georgia On My Mind”. Now y’all might be thinking, “Why is he talking about Ray Charles when we’re supposed to be learning about hip hop?” Ray Charles has been a huge influence in hip hop. Many artists have referenced him and his lyrics. And he has been sampled in over 100 songs, many of them being hip hop tracks. Ray Charles music was beyond soulful. His voice is one in a million and his skills on the piano are untouchable, even before you consider that he was blind. So today’s playlist is going to look a little different. We’re gonna throw up a bunch of classic Ray Charles songs and some of the hip hop tracks that sampled him. The Charles song will be followed by the tracks with the sample, so see if you can pick them all out. I couldn’t find all of the Ray Charles tracks I was hoping for, so I added some newer songs that have Charles samples without the Ray song to go with it. Appreciating hip hop is appreciating all music. So much of hip hop is pulled in from other genres of music, so why not pay homage to one of the best musicians of all time. Enjoy stretching out your musical palate tonight and I’ll see you back here tomorrow for another hip hop history lesson.

[NEW MUSIC] LIL UZI VERT – BANDZ (BYE BYE BIRDIE) LEAKED

So apparently, while Philly’s Lil Uzi Vert has been working on a lot of new music he’s left his account in the hands of a few people including his manager. Earlier today, the rapper’s account posted up something strange and it took me a second to pick up what is really going on in this industry.

See post:

I guess it’s his manager that posted that up.. at least that’s who it sounds like. Uzi’s label, Atlantic Records have been screwing him over lately, and Uzi’s a smart guy so I think what’s happening is a fake kidnapping lol. The label can’t stop nor get angry with Uzi for dropping new music if it’s leaked! So, why not have some fun and play along? Uzi and his team didn’t waste any time. Just now Uzi’s long term producer DP Beats dropped one of their collab’s together titled, “Bandz (Bye, Bye, Birdie)” rand it’s lit. I hope Uzi continues to “leak” more music, and even though idgaf about Atlantic (They can eat a big one) I hope that they can set aside their differences in the mean time and pay him the bread he earned! We know Uzi’s been going through some sh*t, but they don’t gotta do him like that! Listen to he new banger below and tell us what you think. Stay tuned to see if Lil Uzi Vert drops more fire.
