Megan Thee Stallion performed her single “B.*.T.C.H.” from her upcoming album Suga, last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The stage was lit up with Red lights as The H-Town Hottie, who was also dressed in a red hot ensemble spit rhymes on the stage. The perfect mood for Valentine’s Day!
“B.*.T.C.H.” is produced by Helluva Beat and is a remake of of 2Pac’s “Rather Be Ya N****.” In an Interview with Beats 1, she explained that the inspiration for the song came one night after a show.
“I’m like ‘I wanna remake ‘Ratha Be Ya N****’ by 2Pac,” said Megan. “So I got Helluva Beats to make this beat for me. He literally sent me the beat the next day. I wrote a little bit of it on the plane and then I wrote the rest of it in my hotel room in the next state.” A week later she was recording the song in a Las Vegas studio.”
Caleb Landry Jones, other than having a very impressive filmography, from X-Men: First Class to Get Out, is also a very unique musician. The 30-year-old actor is set to release his debut album Mother Stone releasing on May 1. Sacred Bone Records announced on their Twitter:
We are thrilled to announce the signing of Caleb Landry Jones, whose debut album 'The Mother Stone' is out May 1st! Watch the video for the opening suite, "Flag Day / The Mother Stone." https://t.co/3M2nO2MhsZpic.twitter.com/lNB6szzw8s
As a companion to the album, Jones also released the official music video for his lead single, “Flag Day / The Mother Stone.” The psychedelic music video reminds me of older European expressionist films, with in-your-face visuals combined with trippy visuals. Jones wrote The Mother Stone in the wake of a breakup. “I started writing record after record after record after record, because I didn’t know what to do with myself,” he said in a press release. “It was a good way of healing. And it felt like as soon as I started doing it, it felt like it needed to happen all the time.”
The tone of the music video came after Jones met filmmaker Jim Jarmusch. “I was a big fan of his work,” Jones says. “Instead of wanting to talk, I thought I’d write him a piece that would somehow let him know who I was.”
The other tracks feature in the album include:
Flag Day / The Mother Stone
You’re So Wonderful
I Dig Your Dog
Katya
All I am in You / The Big Worm
No Where’s Where Nothing’s Died
Licking The Days
For The Longest Time
The Hodge-Podge Porridge Poke
I want to Love You
The Great I Am
Lullabbey
No Where’s Where Nothing’s Died (A Marvelous Pain)
Justin Bieber has dropped another single from his upcoming album Changes. Bieber dropped the music video for “Intentions,” which features Quavo of the Migos.
The video and song is in support of a philanthropic effort that supports Alexandria House, an L.A. based non-profit organization. Alexandria House offers safe housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to economic stability and permanent housing. Bieber has launched a $200,000 fund to support Alexandria House’s goals and families.
In the video we see Bieber and Quavo interacting with three people that the non-profit has worked with. Bieber gives a car to a young girl who has a long commute to college, and gave away backpacks.
Bieber will perform the single later this week on Saturday Night Live.
The album is set to be released next friday, February 14, and will be Bieber’s first album since 2015. Other singles off the album include “Yummy,” “Get Me” featuring Kehlani and the Summer Walker remix of “Yummy.” The LP spans 17 tracks and will also include features from Travis Scott, Post Malone, and Lil Dicky.
DJ Khaled long awaited album “Father of Ashad”, is here and the first single to get a music video is none other than the track that shows Nipsey Hussle living for the last time. It was no mystery that Khaled and Nipsey were working together on music, but money wondered if we would see what they working on since the sudden pasting of Nipsey. But today Khaled blessed us with the video and I promise you that nostalgic feeling will hit especially after hearing Nipsey verse.
