Russell Wilson saw some game time today at Yankees’ spring training. Wilson pinch hit for Aaron Judge in the fifth inning against the Braves. Wilson would go down with a swinging strikeout after seeing six pitches. The Super Bowl quarterback showed some good bat speed. His best cut came atfirst pitch fastball that he just missed and fouled straight back. Wilson day was short as he did not see any time on defense, coming out of the game immediatelyafter his at bat. The Yankees really seemed to be rooting for him as everyone was up on the dugout railing for his at bat. Both the Yankees players and Wilson have said they have enjoyed having Russell in camp and both parties have learned a lot from one another. If this is all we see of Wilson this spring I’m sure he’ll be headed back to a locker room full of jokes in Seattle. Not the best showing by any stretch, but I could definitely name a few NFL quarterbacks that would look way worse out there. I mean, Wilson was a fourth round draft pick in the MLB back in 2010. Nobody is calling him Bo Jackson, but no one will ever be able to play both sports like Bo did. Stick to football Russell, cause you might not be a slugger but you are one hell of a quarterback.
To be honest, she was a dork for a while. She had a “pudgy” face with no confidence and it showed. Her fashion sense wasn’t the best and it seemed like she was always in the shadows of her best friend Selena Gomez. Demi also went through a lot around the time of 2011 with the release of her heartfelt song “Skyscraper.” After that song, we saw a huge rise in her self-confidence as she was able to capitalize on the hype from that song by continuing to release respectable singles until she became one of the most successful Disney Channel stars that they have ever promoted.
To celebrate this let’s take a look at her glow up:
Demi in 2008:
Could you believe she was only 15 in this picture? The outfit really isn’t cute though.
She is drop dead gorgeous. A true glow up that was wonderful to watch. Not only did her makeup and style improve, but her confidence and who she is as a person continued to grow.
She really is out there looking like a savage. Don’t underestimate Demi or she will make sure that she proves you wrong.
I know it seems like some time, but Iggy Azalea is back with some heat and a dope visual to go along with it! The pop star released her music video for her single “Savior” featuring Migos’ rapper Quavo. The video features Iggy inside of a church surrounded by neon lights, battling against her two sides. Quavo unfortunately isn’t featured in the video
This video was released just a few weeks after we learned that Iggy parted ways with Def Jam and signed to Island Records.
Of course you guys remember the anticipated mixtape of the NBA rookie Lonzo Ball. The 20 year old Laker released his debut mixtape “Born 2 Ball” last Thursday and some say though the project is definitely another form of self promotion, it’s not…terrible!
Lonzo consistently mentions his “Big Baller Brand” and emphasizes his new life as the face of the Los Angeles Lakers and some say his constant bragging got a little bit repetitious and old after a few tracks.
However, on the final song, Lonzo shows his love for his father and plays interview clips of him on draft night in June 2017 and titled the track “LaVar.” The lyrics show a more soft side of Lonzo, and characterize a more personal relationship with his very…outgoing father.
“People lookin’ crazy, askin’ is it hard?/ I just laugh ’cause I know they talkin’ ’bout LaVar/ Y’all can hate him, that’s my pops though/ First one that’s there for me once it got cold,”
We can tell Lonzo wants to be taken serious as a new artist. What do y’all think?
Spotify and Apple Music has always been in a battle over which one was going to die out and which one was going to prosper.
Spotify launched October 2008 while Apple Music launched in 2015. Spotify came up with the idea of streaming music long before Apple even got on the train. Spotify is a huge competitor who saw the shift to streaming way before it was even popular. But Apple Music is a huge competitor and seems to be coming up big.
These two companies that offer the same service seem to be in a predicament. They must figure out what is going to set themselves apart from each other, and do so in a way that doesn’t take away from the primary function of the streaming site.
I am happy that Apple is losing the battle right now. They need to humble themselves down a little. But they have a lot of fuel to their fire since Spotify severely brought their business down on iTunes. I expect these two will continue to fight until someone goes down. Let’s get our popcorn and see how it all plays out.
