[News] Kanye reveals dome homes in Calabasas

TMZ has apparently found the secret location of Kanye’s dome-shaped community homes in Calabasas. The domes were apparently inspired by the homes on Tatooine in Star Wars. I can clearly see the resemblance. According to TMZ, the homes are an attempt to break the barriers inherit in social class such as rich and poor.

Each dome is 50 feet high and there are many on Kanye’s 300 acre property. Apparently, the team is studying homes throughout human history and culture to develop the prototypes.

“There, with the hazy heft of something enormous and far away, stand a trio of structures that look like the skeletons of wooden spaceships,” said Forbes writer Zack O’Malley Greenburg when he paid visited the homes. “They’re the physical prototypes of his concept, each oblong and dozens of feet tall, and West leads me inside each one. He tells me they could be used as living spaces for the homeless, perhaps sunk into the ground with light filtering in through the top. We stand there in silence for several minutes considering the structures before walking back down to his lurking Lamborghini and zooming off into the night.”

Let us know your thoughts on Kanye’s building project in the comments.

[News] Judge finds probable cause to charge Lil Durk with attempted murder

[News] Judge finds probable cause to charge Lil Durk with attempted murder

According to ABC affiliate WSB-TV, a judge in Fulton County, Georgia has found probable cause to charge rappers Lil Durk and King Von with attempted murder. Durk is in some deep trouble, as he “is seen on video shooting a man near The Varsity while he was driving.”

According to Fulton County records, viewed by Pitchfork, Lil Durk and King Von are each facing five felony charges: Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder; Aggravated Assault; Participation in Criminal Street Gang Activity; Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Felony; and Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

The incident in question happened on February 5th outside the restaurant The Varsity, in which Alexander Witherspoon was found dead from gunshot wounds. Durk turned himself in a few weeks back in connection with the shooting, telling the media “I have nothing to hide”.

So either that is not really Durk in the video, or he wasn’t aware of the video before he claimed he had nothing to hide. Well I mean, he can’t really hide the video so he is right on some level.

[Music] Kanye passes Drake as 3rd highest paid rapper

[Music] Kanye passes Drake as 3rd highest paid rapper

After recently announcing that Jay Z is the first rapper to become a billionaire, Forbes has released its list of hip hop’s next billionaires. Most interestingly, Kanye West has surpassed Drake to become the 4th wealthiest rapper. As the report attests, the reason for Kanye’s climb is due to his partnership with Adidas.

Dre is the second richest after Jay Z, at $800 million. Despite selling Beats by Dre to Apple for $3 billion, Forbes makes it clear that Dre is not a billionaire.

Diddy is 3rd, making him the highest paid producer. His fortune is approximately $740 million. Forbes is confident that he might pass Dre saying, “Ciroc, the main driver of his fortune, is growing again after case volumes fell from all-time highs in recent years—making the impresario perhaps the most likely candidate to join JAY-Z in the billion-dollar club.”

We’ll see who will join Jay Z as hip hop’s second billionaire. Comment your pick.

[News] Justin Bieber challenges Tom Cruise to a fight on Twitter

[News] Justin Bieber challenges Tom Cruise to a fight on Twitter

In a tweet that came out of nowhere, Justin Bieber has challenged Tom Cruise to a fight in the octagon, and called out to UFC president Dana White to put on the fight.

Cruise has not commented on the tweet, and many expect him to decline. However that hasn’t stopped others from outlining the matchup.

@PMTsportsbiz laid out the details on the two unlikely fighters in a tweet. Cruise is more than double Bieber’s age at 56 and 25, and has twice the net worth, at $570M and $265M. However, Bieber is two inches taller and has a three inch longer estimated reach.

Despite this apparent physical disparity, many expect that Tom Cruise would destroy Justin. Cruise trains regularly for his action movies, and often does his own stunts. Also, he is likely 15 pounds bigger than Bieber, though his weight is unclear.

In a tweet, UFC fighter Conor McGregor offered to host the fight and mocked Cruise, saying that the fight would only happen if he is “man enough to accept the challenge” and “Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies?”

Though this fight would be huge and very entertaining, I just don’t see it happening.

[News] Obama’s sign deal with Spotify to create podcasts

[News] Obama’s sign deal with Spotify to create podcasts

Barack and Michelle Obama have signed a deal with Spotify to produce podcasts.

In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Barack said, “We’ve always believed in the value of entertaining, thought-provoking conversation. It helps us build connections with each other and open ourselves up to new ideas. We’re excited about Higher Ground Audio because podcasts offer an extraordinary opportunity to foster productive dialogue, make people smile and make people think, and, hopefully, bring us all a little closer together.”

The LA Times also noted, “The Obamas’ production company Higher Ground said Thursday that it has forged a partnership to create podcasts exclusively for Stockholm-based Spotify’s global platform. Publicly traded Spotify is the world’s largest streaming music company, with 100 million paying subscribers and more than 217 million monthly active users”.

Characteristically of Barack, he was smart to sign specifically with Spotify, not only because it’s the largest streaming service on the market, but that’s also the one I have.
