90Rackss isn’t a man of many words, unless he’s talking about his music or his family.

A quiet, down-to-earth Gemini, 90Rackss’ buzz has been growing throughout the New Jersey and New York hip-hop scene for months. Since he released his most recent singles, “Taliban” and “For My Opps” on streaming services, the New Jersey artist has solidified himself as one of the standout up-and-coming artists of this year, with over 300,000 views on YouTube and a growing social media presence. And he’s done it all as an independent artist consistently releasing his songs and music videos. 90Rackss speaks openly about his personal life on his records, detailing his life in the Bradley Court housing projects in Newark, his family, and his relationships.

Over everything, 90Rackss makes it clear that his hometown and his mother completely shaped who he is as a person and influenced his music and career. When talking about his family, he opened up, “I love my mother and my three brothers, and my family because they give me unconditional support. She made me go harder and motivated me, because she was strong and independent. No matter what she was going through, she always made sure me and my little brothers were straight.”

Even though he grew up in East Orange, he currently lives in Newark and describes the city as a major influence on his life and his music. He shared, “[I grew up in] East Orange. [I currently live in] Newark. Newark taught me how to survive. It made me more aware. It influenced my music, because living there was like a movie. Like Boyz in the Hood.”

90Rackss always takes pride in his city and in his close-knit circle, as he even did a YouTube interview outside of Bradley Court projects with GwopDigital. In the interview, he talks about the success of his recent singles with a group of his friends sitting side by side with him throughout the video. When talking about his music and people in the past that doubted him and made fun of him for doing music, he laughs, “Don’t try to do a song with me now, on my mother.”

90Rackss is a promising rising talent, and he knows the opportunity that stands in front of him for his music career. Over everything, 90Rackss makes it clear that his three top values will always be, “loyalty, family, and money.” As he continues to drop music and grow as an artist, 90Rackss will surely be on many listeners’ radar for new music.
