Humble, Awareness & Heartbreaking those are the words that comes to mind with comes to OnlyJahmez. In a way he shows us his true colors and he lets us into his head where all of us feel like we’ve always been held captive by our own demons. It’s the only thing other than ourselves that gets in the way of truly getting what we want.
OnlyJahmez, a visionary who captures the struggle of his new ties to fame in his latest visual “Demons”. This music video features strong hidden meanings all coming to a question of Will he sell his soul, or will he keep battling his demons?
OnlyJahmez is not new to the scene when it comes to pushing out a message, go back and check out his previous visual “Thoughts”, here.
“In the “Demons” video, one scene grabs my attention most of all. It’s of him sitting down with his hands tied up in rope. Helping develop such strong imagery that it leaves a permanent imprint in my head. Pair that with lyrics stating, “I’m on track to reach this celling but for you I’ll give it up.” Helps inspire instant attraction to what the actual plot could be for the video.
OnlyJahmez is seen with a female interest, someone who in my opinion could be strong symbol in OnlyJahmez music. If I come from a more abstract perspective, I would say this song and visual can reference anyone close to OnlyJahmez’s life. Showing them how he has loyalty to how grounded he is willing to stay true to what he cares about most, the music.
New Jersey’s Drew the Recluse fuses hip-hop, alternative, and R&B into one sound through his music, especially on his soulful track, “Fade.” Founder of record label Black Suburbia Music Group, Drew the Recluse and his team of artists have worked to unite the rock and hip-hop scenes in Asbury Park, creating more performance opportunities and a community for talent in the area. Based in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Drew the Recluse cites Bruce Springsteen as one of his musical influences, as well as his neighborhood in the suburbs of New Jersey.
In Drew the Recluse’s powerful single, “Fade,” he details his feelings of loneliness, pain, and feeling stagnant in his life and friendships. The synth-based ballad starts with his sultry vocals and piano chords playing underneath. He sings lyrics, “There’s a light left on but ain’t nobody there/I’d give all I have to know somebody cared.”
In the chorus, his vocals explode, as he belts, “Are my tears just not enough to heal the lies?/ Cause my suffering is worse than if I die!/So I hold my breath and pray I live the night/Cause to fade away would not be worth the ride.” The chorus repeats as the beat drops and synths swell, with Drew the Recluse’s emotional vocals concluding the song, “Cause to fade away would not be worth the ride.”

To be manipulated is not the wave when it comes to the newest visual from R&B Viral Sensation LAW titled “Controller”, an anthem proving to your significant other to watch what they do because it’s one strike and then you’re out. LAW is seen describing a story through dance and lyrical direction. The video was released July 4th, 2021 and so far is up to 150,000 views.
Bringing a highlight to lyrics “Mamma didn’t raise no puppet/And daddy did not raise no timid girl/So imma say what’s on my mind” setting a stern but meaningful tone on top of a tropical like beat while still giving space for the lyrics to push out its powerful message.
LAW is seen in a beautiful bedazzled black ensemble one piece interacting with her male counterpart, creating the narrative about manipulation and mental abuse. “You cannot control me” a quote from the song repeated to help leave a imprint of how important self-awareness is in a toxic situation.
In another scene, LAW is stunning! Wearing a velour burgundy one piece creating the imagery for her take down of the king of misery. She pushes him down with her foot, showcasing how the shoe is now on the other foot and she is now in control.
Not only does LAW serve looks but she also gives fierce choreography showing the shift of dynamics, showcasing how he loses control of her and she regains what is rightfully hers.
Such an exceptional visual for the star’s new single, take a look for yourself of the eye grabbing music video!

Jersey Club grew to become predictable in today’s age, growing up in Central Jersey (Yes, we do exist) it was an array of DJs, all with different styles. From BreezeYhu’Nasty, DJ Lil Taj, DJ LSpiz, DJBigO973, everyone had their own flair. But today people believe you just chop up today’s Top 40 songs and BAM! You have a jersey club hit. But there’s one girl changing that narrative. Ladies & Gentlemen, The moment we all been waiting for, Cookie Kawaii & her debut album “VANICE” has come to give the world another perspective into Jersey Club Music. Released on July 30th, last weekend I decided why not sit down and dive back into my home roots and review this masterpiece that will forever be staple in Jersey Club. (Yeah, I said it)
Cookiee off rip with the album cover (shown above) let’s me know that she is going to take me into a ethereal vibe, starting off with “Cookiee & The Monsters” produced by legendary Jersey DJ -Producer Lil C4 sets the tone that versatility is a main priority for this project. “Your vibes turns me up” a repetitive lyric in the song that showcases the energy on this album is meant to be shared among the masses. (Or in this case, all of the 973 Area!) Jersey Club has been used in the past culturally as way to bring everybody together it’s great to see her not trying to change that but instead adding another element to that.
Going Further into the album, it gives synths, bass and very melodramatic, setting the tone of creating a space of security without being too restrictive. In “PLANET US”, she excelled perfectly mixing the climatic build up with a great section of verses. Not to mention her use of features are literally perfect, from Dear Silas [“VIOLIN” – My Personal Fave] , Bleszt [featured on the club dance tutorial filled jam “DUMP IT”] & Oya Noire featured on the tropical inspired “LOVE YOUR BODY”] it’s clear that Cookiee recruited a BIG 3 to help execute these exquisite productions.
Going back into versatility, Miss Cookiee sure does how to make everyone feel included, from house music fanatics [“START OVER AGAIN”] to vogue and fem queens, [“WERK!”] “VANICE” caters to all. It’s almost as if Cookiee is paying homage to all the things that have molded her into the artist she is today. A rare move for most to do in todays music industry. But over all Cookiee Kawaii is a new source of dynamic energy coming from the North Jersey scene and she has gladly made all of New Jersey dance again.
After releasing an 18-second preview of his “Demons” music video on YouTube, OnlyJahmez will drop the full music video and single on August 13th at midnight. In the song and music video, OnlyJahmez’s breakup with his girlfriend triggers conversations and reflections not only about his past and his future self, but about his career as well. As he opens up to his girlfriend about their dying love, his “demons,” and his career, rapping “I’m on track to reach the ceiling but for you I give it up.” OnlyJahmez admits to his girlfriend, “I been knocking out these demons” and in the second verse, he belts, “I can’t give you glory no more,” ultimately ending their romantic relationship. Throughout the music video, OnlyJahmez and his girlfriend have a conversation, and as she continuously walks away from him, she becomes a distant memory at the end of the music video.
OnlyJahmez’s “Demons” echoes the sentiments of his previous confessional anthem, “Thoughts,” a moody, uptempo track that garnered approval from New York City’s popular radio station, Hot 97.1, and even caught the attention of rapper Lil Uzi Vert, as he added the single to his personal Spotify playlist. OnlyJahmez’s “Thoughts” music video, directed and shot by videographer WaveChange in Las Vegas, debuted on television channels MTV, BET Jams, and Music Choice. In the past, OnlyJahmez’s projects have earned acknowledgement from MTV, Hot 97.1, Power105.1, BET, MajorStage, and caught the attention of the late rapper, Juice WRLD.
A New Jersey native, OnlyJahmez has launched his headlining tour throughout the TriState area, entitled “OnlyJahmez & Friends” and has performed four sold-out shows to launch the tour. OnlyJahmez will be performing singles from his upcoming EP, scheduled to be released in October 2021. Visit onlyjahmez.com for tickets and information about his upcoming shows.
